I was there. They may have only sold 200, but a few friends and me got over a fence and into the barn for the show. A once in a lifetime concert, no doubt about it. I'd say there were double the 200 actually at the show.

I was there. Unbelievable... also Alice in Chains was unbelievable as well.

The CAT

I remember back when Borchardt was playing we ran a reverse, the defensive end was a little shallow and the receiver running the reverse came around deep causing the end to have to turn to his right to try to get an angle on the end. Borchardt was waiting for the d-end to make his move and just leveled him as he turned around.

It is hard for offensive linemen to get attention and be appreciated by anyone outside the team but Borch got the biggest cheer on that day!

Another good o-lineman was a guy named Sonny Holland, and his teammate Sonny Walker (my father-in-law, deceased).

Never saw Coach Holland play, as he played earlier. But I did play for him for 3 years as my head coach at MSU. Finest man and coach I have ever seen or played for. We would have died on the field for him. He was great and I know he played that way. All American. No slight intended for sure. Thanks for reminding me on that one.

Paul Dennehey, Les Leninger, Ron, Don & Dan Ueland, Ron Muri, Mark McGrath who ran the above mentioned reverse, and of course Tuesday night Dime Time at the George, Dennis Erickson to Ron Bain (there's a contrast in personalities), Don Haas...The Idaho offensive lineman who knocked our defensive backs helmet off afterthe whistle lol:

Racing down Main to get to the Gold Rush and then racing up the canyon to Buck's T-4.

Having a little too much to drink and heading for Yellowstone in the fall (yes, I let someone else drive). You know how dark it gets in Yellowstone at night. You can make out shapes but thats about it. We stopped to pee at one of the picnic areas. Turned out the lights and jumped out of the car to pee by this large boulder. Problem was, it was not a boulder at all but a Buffalo. Would never have known if it had not stood up in mid-pee. I could move pretty fast back then. Thankfully!

Things really haven't changed. My MSC days the bars in Bozo closed at 1:00, so we naturally migrated to Four Corners, Staceys, et al for the extra hour

. One night (middle of winter) we decided to go to West (no such thing as a designated driver back then). Not too far into the park above Taylor Fork we did a couple 'broadies' because there was a herd of elk bedded down in the middle of the road . Same thing happened between the Duck Creek 'Y' and West, but we still got in a few beers at the Stagecoach. I don't remember the ride back that night, but apparently we didn't hit anything.

How the hell has no one mentioned Thursday Quarter Beer Night at the Old R Bar? From 9pm-12midnight you could get a small draft beer for $.25- limit was 40 beers at a time. The beers would be so damn warm you could hardly drink them, but for a quarter a person managed to get them down. I remember seeing some pretty crazy stuff on those nights. Those were the days when only men went to the R Bar...

Better yet, leaving Bozo at midnight, with a keg, going to Pony to hike into the woods just to sit in a hot spring!

Can't believe that we would carry a keg that far!

Hot pots at Norris, breakfast club at the Scoop and Mannys (sp). Hamburger steak, eggs and hasbrowns for $1.50. Seating capacity 1,000-10 at a time. Pledge sneaks at the Sigma Chi, Friday afternoon club in the Sigma Chi parking lot.

Where is Cash these days? Last I heard, he had left The Crystal but that was about 5 or so years ago.
