You're all over that football recruiting thing, holy crap. You must have
Kramer's cell phone tapped..........
..............someone was reciting some football recruiting stuff from
BobcatNation.com this morning posted by MissoulaCat, which I believe is
you, and had almost exactly the stuff that Kramer had just gotten done
telling me (Taylor Rank, Hammond Thomas, etc.). That was pretty
impressive.
Not to pat myself on the back, but it does confirm that Rank is most likely coming to Bozeman this week-end
You are the man. I assume Hammond Thomas is the WR from KSU?

Yep...

81 Thomas, Hammond WR 6-2 170 So. Baytown, Texas (Lee)

A young wide receiver with plenty of potential... Has the physical tools to earn more playing time with continued seasoning in the offense.

2003 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in two games as a reserve wide receiver... Made first career catch and only reception of the season vs. Troy State for 11 yards.

2002 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Baytown HS: Ranked 82nd by Rivals.com web site on list of receivers... Honorable mention All-Midlands Region by PrepStar... Second team all-state selection... Earned first team all-conference recognition... Finished two-year prep career with 89 catches for 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns... Had 58 catches for 915 yards and nine scores as a senior... Accounted for all three of Lee’s TDs in a 21-14 win over Deer Park... Each of his three catches went for scores and totaled 211 yards... Attended same high school and is the cousin of former Wildcat QB Ell Roberson... High school coach was Dick Olin... Also lettered twice each in basketball and track and field for the Ganders.

Personal: Born Feb. 19, 1984, in Baytown, Texas... Parents are Hank and Wonda Thomas... Has three older siblings... Hopes to major in chemical engineering at K-State, following in the footsteps of his father, who is a chemist.

Does anyone on here know why he's considering MSU? Not that I'm complaining......

As for being up to date on the recruiting info, all you have to do is go to any recruiting site and you can see where and when many of these players are going to visit as well as who their schools of interest are. I don't think any sort of cat has been let out of the bag (no pun intended).

I would guess a chance to play, as well as our top notch chemical engineering program.

Plus, who wouldn't jump at the chance to catch passes from the red headed houdini?

Well if he comes up to Bozeman for ChemE, he's making one amazing decision. If his skills add up to something amazing on the field, then I'll really be a happy camper!!

Hopefully he likes what the Cats show him today!!!

I'm just thinking out loud here (which usually gets me in trouble), but if this guy from K-State signs, can you imagine the weapons we'll have at receiver?

Gatewood, Guinn, Rosey, Tremaine Murray (WSU transfer), Hammond Thomas....etc. Plus our guys that red shirted this year (Mike Brown, Toby Rundle, Tyler Lulay...etc)

I realize that Thomas hasn't proven himself on a college football field yet, but the potential is definitely there. And after the job he did this year, I have complete faith in Junior Adams as our receiver coach.

This is someone who could be visiting this week end

Zach Teisher
Tight end
Chula Vista (CA)
Southwestern College

Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 250 pounds

From his coach:
Quote:
Could you talk a lot about your preseason All-American tight end, Zach Teisher? Zach has the best hands on the team. He also has a real mean streak. He started off as a defensive end, but we switched him over last year, Justice noted. The 6-foot-4 and 250 pound tight end prospect graduates in December and will be able to enroll in the school of his liking in January. Teisher is receiving interest from BYU, Marshall, Idaho State, Utah and San Diego State.
From the looks of things, it looks like this weekend we are bringing recruits who we would expect to contribute immediately. It's a small group (only 4) so they will be able to receive a lot of one on one attention.

Hopefully that means something a little different at MSU than it does at Colorado!
