Women's Game

Post by MSU01 » Fri Jan 14, 2005 8:51 pm

MSU is getting killed on the glass but leads 35-28 at the half thanks to 8-11 shooting on 3's. Burrows picked up 2 fouls before the first media TO and didn't play the rest of the half. Only 2 points so far for Hollie Tyler.

18 more fouls called on the cats before OT. I suppose you guys are going to have a problem with that :?:

I am so sick of the shoddy officiating in the BSC. Cats went to the line ONCE in the second half? NO TEAM PLAYS THAT CLEAN.

70-68 Griz win in OT. No comment on the officiating...Tyler gets away with a lot inside but there actually could've been more fouls called on MSU. Kudrna needs to recruit a post player who actually has half a clue how to rebound. Great game!

I could not be prouder than the lady Cats!! They lose in over time by 2 points despite a HUGE Home court Advantage. I am sorry but the Griz have all of the big name athletes and they still play them dead even.

By the way, lets have a moment of silence, for watching the cleanest basketball team on this earth, I hear the pope is considering them for saint hood!

I am with you Celtic...nobody plays that clean, lots of acting by the friz also. I hope the cats are proud, I sure are of them. They played a beautiful game despite terrible officiating. I call it a moral victory!!!!! GO BOBCATS!!!! \:D/

I give credit to Selvig-he works the refs better than any coach in the league-men or women. Before you know it-every little ticky tacky call is going their way. It's not always fair, but it is amazing how these refs get pulled into it.

The Cats played amazingly well-I like how Kudrna has this team playing. I like their style, I like their defense. He needs a little more height and a little more experience and they should be fine. I think he deserves a couple years to turn it around.

The Lady Cats did an excellent job in Missoula! How about that Cat Defense?!!! Holly Tyler never even gets winded, as she is a giant compared to all. (Didn't say the most talented to be sure, but just the biggest!!!!) Selvig needs to get his blood pressure checked!! Of course he works the refs, he is 90% out of control. Hard to believe that they give into that....

Give it up for the CATS playing so well in such a hostile environment!

I'm sorry but there is no such thing as a moral victory. Winning in missyoulla is never easy, especially with Selvig on the refs, he is worse than coach K.

Whine about the officiating all you want. That was one of the worst shooting and ball control performances by the Lady Griz all season. They just got it done, and the Lady Cats played a great game especially coming off their last performance.

The series record is now 58-17 UM! I didn't know that MSU women haven't won in Dahlberg since 1977.

UM is having a dissapointing year right now especially coming off last season, barely missing out on the Sweet 16. It will be a really interesting game in Bozeman if both teams performed the way they did. How do you think the two will end up in the conference?

Exactly why are you the self-appointed know it all? 1) There IS such a thing as a moral victory. 2) It is spelled Missoula. 3)Winning in Missoula can be easy. 4)Exactly why do you think Selvig is worse than coach K? Do you have any statistics to back up your accusations? [-X

Buttealum. Go ahead and enjoy your moral victory,

1. I only count the victories in the Win colum.
2. Missyoulla (I checked my own directory)
3. No need to explain Selvig
4. You are right, at least the men got a win in Missyoulla
