So you feel comfortable claiming those "shared" BSC Championships when we beat you? You must be really proud of that BSC Championship when we completely dominated you, in Missoula, in '02 and then in Bozeman in '03. What does losing to A&M have to do with winning the Big Sky? You are not very bright, I guess that is why you are a griz fan though. We played one crappy team, you have played three. With or without an FBS team on the schedule or DII cream puff... and yet you haven't won a straight up BSC championship... let alone go far in the playoffs... if you make them. We've won how many BSC championships in a row. How many have you won in the last ten year... up to and including the ones you shared with us. You my friend aren't very bright. Reply back when you have a BSC title you can claim as your own. Reply back when you have won a National Title when the Flock of Seagulls weren't in the Billboard's top 100.
There is no doubt we had some bad years (decades maybe), but to continue to hear about how bad we were in the late 80's and 90's gets old. Last year we piss-pounded a perennial 1-AA power in the playoffs last year, had the two-time defending national champions on the run, and beat Colorado.
So take off your Billy Squire T-shirt and your denim jacket, park the IROC in the garage, snip the mullet and live in the now.
GROW UP PETER PAN!!! COUNT CHOCULA!!!

How about you reply back when YOU win a BSC championship. Oh, I get it now. You're one of those tools who identifies herself so closely with her team you're not capable of making the distinction that you never played for them.
The ones we shared with you? More like the ones you shared with us.
I'd bet my bottom dollar you're on of those people who wears all dark pink all the time completely oblivious to how much of a tool you are, a dark pink ball cap (which you never go anywhere without except work, if you even have a job), has a dark pink car, and jizz plates.
When you wish upon a star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling towards the Earth, which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.

Back when denim was in, the IROC, etc were in... I was in my pre-teen years sucking down count chocula, and watching Peter Pan (at least you got something right).
As far as the BSC titles go... shared or not... when was the last legit BSC championship won. Back when the IROC Z was cool. Take the Griz out of the equation... it was still shared with Eastern WA, so as far as I'm concerned the Bobcat glory days were in 1984 and they haven't been restored since.
Thanks for playing.

Holy Cross you say?......I'd rather face USC than Holy Cross.
Towson?.....Towson?.....I heard they beat Florida and Ohio State....on the same day.
Maine?....the perennial powerhouse Maine? Wow.
I guess UMass has played a tough schedule. Colgate, Holy Cross, Towson, and Maine. Good gawd.

If you check the polls 3 of UMass's opponents have previously received votes in the FCS Polls(1-AA level). How do Ft. Lewis, Albany and SUU stack up there? Has UM played Rocky yet? UMass might have even ventured out on the road! As for strength of schedule, there is absolutley no comparison between UMass and UM. UMass has played a schedule that is at least respectable! Think that you'd find their fans cussing/discussing their level of competition.tampa_griz wrote:Well holy crap! Colgate?! I'm not arguing with you. Colgate, Holy Cross, Towson, and Maine are the scariest teams in the FCS. That's right! It's time for some serious Helcat training. I'm starting this afternoon and when I get to the Gallatin Thursday, I should be in decent shape, will take a little protein Friday to counteract all the carbs to be injested Saturday and then start training for SUU Sunday when I get back to the Flathead.HelenaCat95 wrote:I really don't understand all the discussion over who will be #1. But the discussion over strength of schedule deserves it's own thread....or 12.

I hate to say it, but I will not be at Idaho State next week...it is tearing me apart. But I have to go overseas on business....(it's actually a trip of a lifetime with a little business and a lot of fun).Cat Grad wrote:That's right! It's time for some serious Helcat training. We will leave on Sat and get back late Friday night....just in time to go to the Southern Utah game, with jet lag.
It will be the first home game I've missed in years.....but I would be crazy to turn this trip down. I can guarantee that there will be plenty of HellCat training on the trip....there are NO bye weeks for HellCats.

Well, I think enough has been said by a few others that I don't really have much to say. I will say that I will be the first to admit the Griz have dominated the Big Sky for the last 10-15 years. I call it the three D's. DOn Reid, Dave Dickenson, Dennhy Washington. If is was not for these three men, you program would not be a power house, it would be an Idaho State, Weber State, Sac State program. You can brag about all your titles and championships and playoff wins, but I would rather be a proud Bobcat fan than to have all that and call myself a Griz just because they became the better program. One day soon your program will fall, look at Notre Dame. Your turn will come, and I can't wait for the day when there are only 4,000 fans in 22,000 seat stadium. It will come, and I will laugh.
If you can't win 'em all, at least beat the Griz! And always leave positive comments......

Oh yeah, Mr. Shakermaker, I still want to know how losing a non-conference game has any effect on winning the Big Sky conference championship. I know you told me how many and all that other crap you guys have won, but I want you to answer the first part for me. Thanks.
p.s. Watch out because I have learned to be positive.

Re: Shakermaker
Do you honestly believe a non-con game won't affect you? In the Big Sky no it won't. Beyond the regular season it will. If you think that is the last loss of your season YOUR wrong. I see the Griz losing this year, however it won't affect their being the BSC champs again.poorgriz wrote:Oh yeah, Mr. Shakermaker, I still want to know how losing a non-conference game has any effect on winning the Big Sky conference championship. Talk all you want about our schedule. You played one team this year that was tough on your schedule and beat one team that lost to Fort Lewis last year. Texas A&M was nothing but a money game to your school's AD and had nothing to do with aspirations of becoming a better program.
I'm not happy with the first two teas we played this season to be honest, but then again... we're not striving to become the Griz-esque team of the Bigsky because we set the standard for all others to become.
Flame away at that... it's a fact.

You have to be a popmpous dork to go onto the message board of your school's rival and spout off, claiming "we" this and "we" that...
Shakermaker, go be arrogant with the rest of the jizzlienation... egriz.com son.
I enjoy the success of of both programs, but find Griz faithful like you hard to stomach.

In response to dbr4's comment above, that is the difference between Griz and Cat fans. When the Griz start to lose, the fans will no longer say "we", they will say "them" and "those Griz". Cat fans will always say "we", no matter how bad things get.
