I was just playing with my linkedin account, and it occurred to me that this could be a great way for Bobcatnation.com users to leverage our time "invested" getting to know each other on this board to also advance our business networking.

For those who haven't used it, Linkedin.com is a free website that allows you to set up a profile that essentially contains a stripped down version of your resume so that people can see what your skills are, your title, where you work, etc., etc., so that they can potentially contact you about job opportunities, industry questions, or any other kinds of social/business networking.

People can "link" to one another by both agreeing to essentially be on each other's friends list (but as it is a professional site, they aren't called "friends," and are instead called "connections.").

My connections list is heavy on the Bay Area right now, so I need more Montana folks on there (especially if I am to eventually return to Montana to do some sort of business ... not soon, but maybe eventually).

I encourage everyone to set up their own profile on linkedin -- it's pretty cool. Once you have an account, please send me an invite to be one of your connections (my real name is in the sig line of this post).

Using Bobcatnation, maybe we can all end up with an impressively large number of useful connections!

If you need my email address for any reason (as it sometimes asks you for it), just use brad@bobcatnation.com.

I searched for you man, tons of hits came up, but none were you. So...I figure I would wait until BAC accepted the invite and take the easy road. You know me, kmax, I'm just lazy is all.

I'll join in. I suppose I'm like anyone else - trying to get back to Bozeman! Now, if my books could only sell better and the movie based on my first book could get filmed (2008, they say)!
