My take on all of this is that NO ONE really knows what Coach Durham is thinking about this kid. I am sure that he is much more concerned about the present.
I am confident if the coaching staff at MSU likes this kid they wil go after him. The way the Grizzly football program is doing, he may want to stay at home and try to play in a national championship game.

MY BAD! Sorry, I got the McGillis Washington baseball info from the same Chronicle sportswriter that had Mullins going to MSU for football.
McGillis obviously did not sign his letter of intent for Griz Football. My guess would be that he wants to entertain D1 basketball offers. Maybe Durham had some influence...who knows.

That's probably not a good source to use mthoops. I know for a fact McGillis has never even played baseball competitively. I think that because Hauck didn't sign him by yesterday, he is for sure gonna play college hoops> the only question is where. I think Durham needs to drop li'l hasquet and focus on McGillis. Hasquet has been a question mark and McGillis has been improving constantly. Hasquet or McGillis>>you guys tell me. (is there anyone else out there as far as D-1 hoopers not signed)

Like I said before, Hasquet's stock is dropping right now, and I also think 6-5 Bullock of Billing Skyview is also in a class with Hasquet and McGillis.hoop_fan987 wrote:That's probably not a good source to use mthoops. Today's Missoulian article:
McGillis actually had 37 points. They didn't credit him for one of his threes. Yeah, I know, why should anyone believe me. Anyway...

I agree with mthoops that mcgillis is a good d-1 prospect, the key word being prospect. Having seen him play several times, this year and last, he has made tremendous strides. However the fact remains he is 6'6 and a 'tweener. Mick needs to consider if this guy will grow, heighth and width, to play down low. If he doesn't he'll have to be a wing player. That'd be great to have a wing as tall as this kid, but one has to worry about the fact that Mcgillis is 1.) slower than a tuesday afternoon in Square Butte 2.) puts the ball on the floor like a parapalegic at the special olympic state games and 3.) gets his shot off slower than a '54 john deere tractor.
Yes he is scoring at a good clip this year, but what happens when he is faced with an extremely athletic player defending him? I love to see MT kids playing at the state level, and think they can contribute as a role-player, but shouldn't Mick offer him to walk-on so he can see if this kid can play at the next level?
