Why did you interject "It pains me" into a perfectly good, high quality thread? Are you picking a smack fight? Are you trying to get this thread moved to smack? Quite the double standard don't you think? :penalty:

What the rest of you Fizz's think is of no consequence. GL has a history of taking a perfectly reasonable threads and turning them into massive smack. As a service to all of BN, I'm simply calling him out in an effort to raise awareness. Trust me, I have saved future threads by creating this post. [-X

So you are saying in the 24 days you have posted here that grizlaw has a three week and 3 day history of making contradictory posts. Good catch.

What ABQ is saying is that on other threads is that GL has been whining (like a typical griz fan) that many posts have subtle smack against the griz. He has claimed that it is the reason that the MSU program has not had as many donations as the dark pink program has. Gl has even gone so far as to suggest that griz posters do not do that, and that Cat posters would be welcomed with open arms over on egriz. Well, we all know that these things just are not true and ABQ called him on his subtle smack in a harmless thread about a child’s Halloween pumpkin.

Exactly. You're really good at math for a fizz fan. I didn't think you guys could use that many numbers in a single sentence. Remarkable. And, oh yeah, I've read this thing for about two years now.

Glad you finally figured out how to register. I'm sure you'll even figure out that tricky E-Mail thing one of these days.

If you people actually think saying "it pains me to say it" from someone who is about to complement something about the rival is smack, subtle or otherwise, you have an odd grasp on reality.

Exactly right, kmax. I'm pointing out an analogous situation where gl completely wrecked a thread because a cat fan made similar prepositional, subtle, yet at the same time backhanded and unecessary comment about griz. I didn't like (and still don't) the double standard from gl.

Wow...where to begin.

First of all -- for the benefit of all of our viewers out there, the prior thread ABQ is referring to ended on October 16, and he is posting this on November 1. This is really sad, because it implies that he has actually been watching and scrutinizing my posts for the past fifteen days, just looking for anything he could pounce on. Seriously, man...you have got to get yourself a girl, or a hobby, or something. ;)

Secondly -- IMO, the fact that you have been doing this for fifteen days now and this is all you were able to come up with should probably suggest that I'm not that bad of a poster.

And thirdly -- let's talk about that prior thread for a moment, shall we? You say that I "wrecked" an entire thread with my post. I'm curious to know how that works, exactly, because as far as I know, I do not have the power to single-handedly "wreck" a thread. Here's what actually happened in that thread: I put up one post that was an attempt at humor (and that did make fun of Cat fans in what I intended to be a good-natured way). Some people found it funny, and some did not...but the bottom line is, I have no control over how people respond to my posts. I did not "wreck" the thread; anybody who wanted to continue the discussion that was going on before I got there was perfectly free to do so -- that's how message boards work. All I did was put up one post, and people responded the way they responded (which, frankly, was with much more hostility than I expected; I thought we would just have a few laughs, I'd get some ribbing in return, and we'd move on). If the thread was in fact "wrecked," then the people who responded to my post are at least equally responsible for wrecking the thread as I am -- it does take two to tango, as they say.

The bottom line is, you're taking all of this way too seriously. I have been posting here for almost two years now, and I have always had good-natured fun with most of the Cat fans who post here. You can either take my posts for what they are, roll with the punches, and have fun with it -- or, you can stay angry at me, call me out in threads like this one, and keep on trying to "bust" me for being a hypocrite. The first option will probably result in some good times; the second will probably result in you getting your ass handed to you in many more smack threads to come (because, let's be honest -- you don't appear to be very good at this whole smack talking thing ;) ).

Cheers,

--GL

Just for the record -- if you go back and read the posts you're referring to, you'll find that most of what you're referring to in this post was said by other Griz fans, not by me. If you're going to call people out, you should really make sure you're not "blaming" them for things that others said.

I know not which particular thread you speak of, but I'm gonna guess that your going to find no more sympathy for your crusade from me even if I do see it. I actually tend to agree with several of the griz fans on this topic, and have gotten into more than one heated debate about it recently on this board. There is a certain faction of Cat fans that has to make every topic, no matter how unrelated to anything Griz, into either a comparison to the Griz or an attempted slam on the Griz and quite frankly I am sick of it. 8-10 years ago during some of the bleakest ever times of Cat football I can see where that would have been the defense mechanism, but we aren't that program any more. The Cats program is on the rise, we have alot to be proud of and to work for in our own program, so quit wasting time always thinking about the other team.

If you're interested, the thread he was referring to started out here:

and the "smack" portion of the thread was split off here:

Reality check. GL responded humorously to a gratuitous slam against the Griz. He knocked it out of the park and had fun doing it. The whining from Cat fans commenced soon after.

Also, it was not GL that made the claim that MSU doesn't get donations because of bad behavior. I believe (but could be mistaken) it was GrizinWashington. Same goes for the "eGriz would welcome you with open arms". That was not GL.

All you griz fans look alike to me, so I'll just put you all in the same catagory. If you remember my post about the 1%, it will make sense. Ill take your word for it, not going to spend the time to look it up. dosn't really matter to me since I didnt start this smack thread anyway, I just added my 2 cents worth. I do think that GL defended the positions above since he usually does defend any weak griz smack (just like I defend weak Cat smack) but I could be wrong on that too.

I think the overall point is that the griz fans are no different from us, even if you do tell your self that it isnt true.

Thanks, and having read them now (and yes I do remember them now, just had never seen ABQ's last post in the split thread) I stand by what I said previously, I don't agree with the point you are trying to make. And for the record, reading ABQ's last post in the split thread is nearly comical considering it is based almost completely on incorrect information of not realizing that it was a thread split from a previous thread that was not originally on the smack board.
