I remember someone on here commented about your loss of schollies. That was because of your low graduation rate and had nothing to do with the criminal activities of your players. So lets not call for the Griz to loses schollies too just because your players are dumb.
Coleman, Shelton, Pate, Wilson = lower graduation rates = lower APR could potentially result in a loss of schollies savage.

Every one of those players that is dismissed from the team due to the off-field problems will affect your APR.
I understand that but this team does well in class so this won't be a problem. It's not even a concern..........

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have to have a few consecutive terms of substandard APR before you start getting punished?

And the rest of the Griz' performance in this area is high enough that (as long these are the only four) it seems that these four clowns won't lower the APR far enough to matter.

Does anybody really think the Griz wont be able to handle the loss of those players. After all these years you'd think the cat fans would know deep down the Griz aren't going to lose any scholorships to APR issues. You know it and I know it.

Never mistake activity for accomplishment.

I wouldn't have brought it up if he'd just kept his blow-hole shut.

It's a simple fact and one you're not willing to face: FACT - Your coach brings in players with criminal records. FACT - When they get into further trouble he's not held accountable.
You can say what you want about Savage, but at the end of the day, at least he comes over here, says what he has to say, and owns it. Imagine if, instead, he came over here and did this:

"Now, before I begin, I want to preface all of what I'm about to say by apologizing to most of you Cat fans, because I know that most of you are all fine decent folks...but since some of you are jerks, I feel like I have to say this, so for those of you who aren't jerks, please don't get offended. [insert Cat bashing, regarding your stadium, your program, your players who are criminals, your cheerleaders, and Coach Ash's son's dog here.]"

And then, after several Cat fans got angry and responded, imagine if he threw up his hands and said:

"Well golly-gee, I thought I prefaced all of this by saying I wasn't really bashing the Cats; I said I was only doing this because of the "bad" Cat fans out there, and I really don't understand what y'all are gettin' all fussy about..."

You see what we're saying, right? If you want to bash the Griz, that's fine...but dammit, just own it. Don't try to pretend like we're the a-holes, and you're the one taking the high road, because you're not.
Well, Savage just disowned it. And, no, I'm not trying to bash the Griz, I'm responding to Savage's insensitive remarks, which he just disowned. So he's out and that's over.

However, your little rant here is nothing but an attempt to divert attention away from what I said (Hauck allows players he knows have criminal records on his team AND he is not held accountable) by saying that I'm just doing this to bash UM. Not the case.

Hey, wow, I prefaced my comments. I wanted to say something, because I knew some would think I was including every Griz fan. It didn't work out. All I can do now is try to convince you in some way that I was being sincere. Looks like I have a ways to go, because you seem to have your mind made up. I really don't know what else to tell you.

Nothing I said was fabricated. All I can say is I'll defend my school with the truth, which I did. I don't know how that can be called bashing. Bashing you with the truth?

Oh I get it Blue, no problem there. It’s just that the Griz have always had a good team APR. So the effect will be there but just not enough to mean anything. I know you want the Griz to lose some schollies but I prefer to be grounded in facts. Your wishful thinking will get you nowhere!!

That's correct. UM's APR might (probably not) drop below 925 this year, but the 3-year average will most likely be above that and they will be able to keep it up with a good year in the class room next year. I doubt they or very many other schools will be getting nailed with this APR thing. I bet it's a thing of the past in 4-5 years, because all schools will put something in place to avoid it. MSU's APR will go up again next year and the year after for a variety of reasons.

Your "defense" of your school is to talk about Hauck not being held accountable. Bobby Hauck does not work for MSU so who cares?

You also, as noted earlier, omit a lot of the "truth", set arbitrary rules for the discussion, and make absurd excuses for the facts you do include.

I realize this doesn't seem like much, but coming from you it's like a formal, written apology on your company stationary. Your highlighted line about the coaches being disciplined is spot on. I hope you don't want to retract it.

You know the line: The best defense is a good offense.

Your second paragraph is pure poppycock. Your inability to not face the facts is laughable. In a nutshell, I'm simply saying your coach has recruited players with records and when they get in trouble at UM he isn't held accountable. What truth is omitted here? Where is the arbitrary rule? Where is the absurd excuse? I'd say the one omitting, being arbitrary and absurd is you.

Hey, thanks! I appreciate that. I wasn't implying that UM lose schollies. Again I appreciate your ability to acknowledge this.
Hey not a problem. I have no problem putting the Griz in the crosshair when it’s needed. It's something that makes me un-popular with the popular Griz fans. You know who I'm talking about. Griz fans who wear a Griz hat everyday of their lives and only became a fan after 1995 or they go to the games because it’s popular to be "seen" at the Griz game because you think it's good for your business. Their so drunk on Maroon Kool-Aid they can't see the truth. We are the best in the Big Sky and I'm glad about that but the recent news has been hard to swallow and the local paper has been full of people calling for Bobby to step down. IMO they are the old school Griz fans probably natives of the state. Winning is great but it’s not everything. Not that you guys would know much about winning!!!! Why do I have to say things like that...............??

Quite possibly the dumbest thing you've posted. Maybe because Hauck isn't trouble they'll bring Kramer back. Good luck with that.

Just keep on ignoring other important facts in your arguments crazy. Set arbitrary rules for the arguments (timelines, players only...no staff, etc.).

To be honest the first post I ever read by you was the one I reacted to. As you can tell you got my goat. I hope you understand where I was coming from. Yes, I know exactly what fans you're talking about. And I agree winning is great, I've seen both winning and losing in my day. Winning's better, but losing once in a while makes you appreciate it more.

OK, so dis-owned isn't the right word. What you're saying here stills my anger about what you said earlier. Not to be mean (there I go prefacing again), but you seemed like someone that didn't have a clue or had 'drank the kool-aid.' Now that I know your feelings about what has gone on and what should be done, I see that's not the case.

Quit putting words in my mouth savage. I have NEVER said I wanted the Griz to lose schollies. I wouldn't wish that upon any athletic dept. But you insinuated that the Griz won't lose any schollies and you can't guarantee that. All I said was losing those players could affect the APR... because you never know what's going to happen next year. Hopefully nothing at either school, but neither school expected what has already happened. I'm trying to be classy about this... but you seem to keep dragging it down.

I agree losing does make you appreciate it more but if that’s some kind of attempt to make me cheer for the Cats once in a while you can forget it! :)

Of course I knew my first post was going to send you guys through the roof. I will always be a Griz fan but I can appreciate what Cat fans have to go through with the constant let downs on the field. It’s the same thing I suffer through with the Raiders. I'm just glad the Raiders are so far away. You guys have to put up with your Cats sucking ass right in your own home state.

What? Where did I say that? You've got your posts mixed up.
