Hey to get this topic started and hopefully allow some current and former MSU students to build a network of fellow Bobcats let us know what you are up to now.
When did you graduate? What was your major? Where/What are you doing now?
The idea for this area of the message board is to generate some networks so that current and former students can find other MSU grads in their area.

Thanks for the post, anyone else want to post where they are now? You don't have to give details if you don't want, just a quick idea, where are you now?

I am a 1996 microbiology graduate of THE Montana State University. I currently live in Myrtle Beach, SC and work in the environmental field. I don't miss the winters in Montana but I sure do miss the summers in Bozeman.
Although I live far away, I will always bleed blue and gold. GO CATS!! P.S This site is awesome, it is a great way for me to keep up with the Cats.

I have lived in the greater Portland area since 1997, am married to an MSU Pi Beta Phi, and have a lovely 7 month old daughter.
I also am a Sigma Chi, and I've met BAC here in Portland when the Cats played here in 2002.
Thanks for putting this board together. No matter what fans of that other school say, this place is first class.

Graduated in 1998 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. I moved out to Seattle in 2000 to begin pharmacy school and I will graduate with my doctorate in about 3 weeks.
Like PapaG, I'm also a Sigma Chi as well and I know who he is.
I just took a job at a large hospital in Tucson where I will be working as a clinical pharmacist. My hope is to make it back to the Northwest and also purchase a place in the Gallatin Valley. Someday.....

Bleedinbluegold,
Actually I'm not familiar with the recent politics in the state of Montana. Who is the Sig that's running? Are/Were you affiliated with a Greek organization?

Hey there...I was just in Myrtle Beach on Monday and Tuesday of last week (the 12th and 13th to be exact). My sister-in-law is living out there and going to school (although she is a teddy grad she is a great kid). Unfortunately, I didn't read this board before I was out there, and the weather really SUCKED...cold, windy and just not beach weather whatsoever! While, back in Bozo it was in the mid 70's and beautiful, oh well, Murphy's Law strikes again.
I'm sure you have a GREAT time (if you're single that is) for the 3-4 weeks that spring break is spread over out there...the scenery sure was nice while my wife and I drove along Ocean Blvd...I only got punched a couple of times for "gazing" too long!!!

Re:WetWader
I am sorry you picked a bad couple of days to be in Myrtle Beach. I noticed that for a few days there Bozeman was actually warmer than we were. You should have waited till this week (19-23) it was 80 yesterday and supposed to be like that all week. You must have my kind of luck

I've been to a couple of the Cat-friz satellite partys down here, but it usually is the same weekend as my other childhood favorite Clemson Tigers.
That's the weekend Clemson and South Carolina get together.
I usually have the Cat game on Satellite and watch it while tailgating, all though most folks have no idea why I've been so happy for the past 2 years now.

I received Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering degrees from MSU. I'm single and live in Bozeman. Primary interests, other than Bobcats: Biking and Hiking, Cultural events, foreign travel, Argentine Tango, French language. Don't plan to ever leave Bozeman; only downside is lack of single women between college and retirement age.

I graduated in 2002 from the College of Ag with a BS in Agriculture Education. I will never leave MT unless the "grass is greener"..... highly unlikely. So I spend a lot of my time being a role model for our youth as an FFA Advisor/teacher. So with the lack of time and of single women my age in the middle of BFE, I can sympathize with Velo. By the way, it may be a little over the edge, but I think you will get a kick out of this. I try to encourage up and coming students to look at MSU and to do that I had a little fun with a quiz last year. It was a sort of verbal quiz (didn't want to say oral for all you perverts) and for an extra credit question, I asked "The trivia Question" (Which Montana Collegiate Football team holds a national championship at three levels?). If they got it right, they got the points, but if they got it wrong, they had to sing along with me the Bobcat Fight Song. ITS Great to be in a position of power!

I am an 81 Eng grad living in Minneapolis. I have tried for years to get back to Montana but the job situation makes it difficult. I have been a football season ticket holder for six years now. It helps when they have back-to-back home games so I can stay in Big Sky and enjoy a week or two of Montana. This years schedule works out great meaning five weeks in Montana. I should make 3 or 4 of the away games this year.

1989 Graduate in Business Marketing - Enjoying life in Chico - N. California. I manage an Adecco Personnel Services office (only one in Montana is in Billings). Chico is similar to Bozeman in size and also has Chico State University - major difference is the supposed 3:1 ratio of women to men - nothing like the ratio I had at MSU. Although the winters are much better here there is no comparison to the mountain biking available.
Seems that I find a magazine every other month that highlights either Montana or Bozeman. Haven't been able to get back to Bozeman for several years and understand it has "developed" quite a bit in recent years.
Met a local Griz alumn and had the pleasure of watching the last two Cat-Griz games with him - pure joy!! Definitely going to attempt to make the Sac State game this year. Great site and will be visiting often!
