Maybe the Griz should have hit anything vs MSU?ShotDR wrote:Good night kit kats, hucking three's isn't anything new, you get blown out when you don't hit them, as is the case. Must not have got 6 set shot three's to go down this week.

Back in my coaching days, I didn't want to look at my team after a game like this. I usually walked past them, ripped my suit coat off, actually that was already off, and put my head under the facet of a cold shower. This was the only way to collect myself. If I looked at my team after a game like this, I could just see their hearts were the size of green peas, and you know what were even smaller. I wonder what Mick did?

Let's see here. This is the harderst road trip in the Big Sky and we just want to win one out of two. Anyone want to speculate as to why we lost??? Mental??? We willed our way to losing??? No way!!! Just bad karma amd a better home team (sse the score). I bet the SAC State coach is saying, "Well MSU lost their game to to NAU, so that means we have to lose to MSU." Yeah, whatever. Losing is for losers..................
P.S. Mr.Fields, the Champ mascot sucks!! When can we expect a more inspiring mascot? The current one sucks!! GO CATS!!

It could just be that there are only so many ways to say "Gee, I sure hope we win tonight."iaafan wrote:I'm trying to figure out a way to say without sounding like i'm chastising, but this board barely gave a hint that its team was involved in a big game tonight. It was more interested in Monte and just how to dislike the Grizzlies. Reminded me of the pre-game hype vs. Utah Valley State.

The Grizzlies' loss is bad in terms of MSU's tiebreakers with PSU (though not that bad). But, it can be viewed as good in that MSU now leads the Griz by 2 games with 3 games to go. And, comparing MSU with CSUS, CSUS can now only tie the 'Cats, with comparative records vs. UM and WSU in MSU's favor.UM lost to SSU and EW lost to WSU. The UM loss hurts MSU, but the WSU win helped.
Also, the other 4 teams already have at least 7 losses. This'll be interesting...
But, come on(!), how do the 'Cats lay such an egg in Flagstaff?!?

The good news is, the only way MSU is not at least the 2 seed now is if MSU loses all of the last 3 and UM wins all of them or if Sac wins both their games and then beats us in a tiebreaker...don't think Sac would win tiebreaker over MSU though, due to MSU sweep of UM and WSU and Sac split against each. The Weber win was good for MSU, it would be great if they could finish over Sac but that would likely require a MSU win over Sac on Saturday...Unfortunately, however things end up going, the two most likely semifinal opponents for MSU are Sac and UM, not exactly the two teams we want to be facing!

SAC / MSU Match Up
Here I am, talkin smack again. I love how we're always picked 7th or 8th in the big sky (SAC), except now we end up in the top half... Anyways, it's going down this weekend... All I have to say is, I can't wait to attend this game saturday.

That's even worse than bearBAC's attempts at smack! Sac State's conference finishes since joining the Big Sky:
1997-9th (last)
1998-9th (last)
1999-9th (last)
2000-T8th (wow, this year Sac only tied for last place!)
2001-8th (whoops, last again)
2002-T7th (another last place tie)
2003-T6th (first conference tourney)
2004-T2nd (top half!)
What a rich history of basketball tradition. You guys sure do seem to always outperform expectations...
