Great job Cats! Way to get the job done. That buy to the Semi Final game is huge.
Any thoughts on the Jizzley's victory over PSU? I am thinking PSU wasn't too worried about winning, given they had the title & tourney wrapped up.
Although, I would also think they would want to end on a positive note since they won't be playing till the semi's either.

Great game for the Cats going into the Tourney...Jefferson and Miller both played great and had 20+ points each, another really good all-around game by Dissly (13 pts, 8 rebs). If Jefferson and Miller are on, they're tough to beat.
According to a guy on egriz, the top 5 seeds are set:
1. PSU
2. MSU
3. UM
4. SAC
5. WSU
6. EWU/NAU (If NAU wins Monday they're in, otherwise EWU).
Looks like Cat/Griz III next Tuesday...

We finally beat Eastern Floppington! Seriously, they have several guys-led by Mark Axton (who is a great player) who flop almost as good as John Lazosky did back in the day. Thankfully, the refs weren't buying it too much tonight.
It's a good thing I'm not the coach-I would have benched Brandon Miller early in the first half after several bricks and a couple of turnovers in a row. But Durham stayed with him and it really paid off-24 points for Brandon! When he has it going I don't think anyone in the league can beat us.
I think both Miller and Dissly need to slow down their shots a bit. When both are set and open they knock them down, when they shoot it quick it's a disaster. They need to be more selective like Jake Schroeder was for Portland State.
I thought Carson Durr did a great job on Axton-after Dissly and Moss just waved at him as he launched the threes. You can't let a guy like that stand out there, line it up and shoot-you've got get in his jock! Durr slowed him down for quite a while.
Dissly did play very, very well this weekend. As Attebury said, he was all over the stat sheet.
Jefferson-just so steady and consistent. And very good from the freethrow line.
Nice tribute by the crowd to our only active senior, Dennis Woodall. Dennis lost his minutes to Pratt and Durr, but he went out with a bang, hitting that three right at the end.

This weekend was by far the best for Dissley in his Bobcat career, shot , assisted , rebounded and defined. He has learned to let the game come to him. If he improves as much as he has over the last couple of weeks during the off season, he will be a big time forces next year.
Even though Durr didn’t score tonight he played great. Handled the ball great and defined. If he works hard on his offensive game over the off season then next year should be a break out season for him. A player of his caliber coming off the bench will be a great asset.

I agree with farmcats on Dissly. He did have his best weekend for MSU and has shown improvement the last few weeks. I have to disagree with your 'next year' comment in that if he continues the 'Cats could pull this thing out THIS YEAR. I was actually surprised that MSU got the game with PSU into OT and Dissly was the key. I thought they'd lose by 10, but they got them to OT even thought PSU wasn't having an off-night. (not counting those horrid FTs in OT). Throw out the fluke (not so much that they lost, but how they lost) loss to NAU and MSU has played great, and is improving, over the past seven games. Just look at the rebound stats for a quick sign of improving...never thought they would come this far in that area.

This was from a different thread, but AZCAT21 was right - that dunk he had on Saturday night was sick!!AZCAT21 wrote:Everyone needs to get to the game early to see Henry Bickering from Eastern Washington. I saw a dunk competition of this guy on the internet, he did a windmill over a guy, jumped from the free throw line off of 2 feet, and did the Vince Carter arm in the rim. I will look for the link to the video, its honestly amazing. He was also on the best damn sports show after the dunk competition.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
