This is a link to enjoy the game .. celebrate and vent. I would think every Cat poster on this board tonight is a Big Bobcat Fan! We didn't get it done. 1) Outrebounded 2) Defensive presence was non-existent 3) Hardly any assists and 3's not falling. That spells DOOM in bball any way you cut it. I'm surprised it ended up being that close to be honest. The Cats players did fight hard at the end. Not to make excuses, but I don't like the 10 day layoff either. I would have rather the Cats played on Saturday than not at all. When I was in basketball and we had that long of layoffs (Xmas break) I did notice it was hard initially to get your game speed back/timing/chemistry. I think that had something to do with this loss as well. But you have to give it to the Griz .. they were knocking down the shots tonight all over the floor. We had an outside game (non existent at times) and that was it.ESGGCG wrote:Absolutely Celtic Cat: and here I thought the Grizzly fans were the ones who were the fair weather fans!!! This board sounds like the "fans" that leave the Brick before a close game is over.... Come on, call yourselves fans!!CelticCat wrote:I realize this game is near impossible to win, but come on guys. The negativity around this board is pathetic.
I also think that Krysko coaching move to put Dlouhy on Jefferson was a very good coaching move. You put a quick athletic forward on a smaller quick player. Its harder for them to get their shot off/see the court. I think that was definately a key part of the first half when he did that. Krysko from the sounds of it did a very good job of matchup coaching in this game.

Well, they lose their best player, Kamaar Davis. And there's no telling how many of them will flunk out before next season starts... before they regain their eligibility in the UM Athletics Reinstatement Wintersession, sponsored by Hooked on Phonics.Helcat72 wrote:It sounds to me like the friz have alot of freshmen and we have a lot of juniors. Anyways good season to all you Cat fans who aren't whiny babies and stick with their team.BozoneCat wrote:Well, they lose their best player, Kamaar Davis. How many credits did Kamar get by taking that Mid-winter tutor session? What degree is he working for? UM players will always be eligible, because they will make a new course if need be!BozoneCat wrote:Well, they lose their best player, Kamaar Davis. Say that to my face and we'll see who is whining like a little girl, bitch. Everyone I know from Anaconda is a fat welfare-collecting bum, and I doubt you are any different. I suppose you are the epitomy of "sticking with your team," since you haven't said one word about your sh*tty team all year long up until now.anacondagriz wrote:I don't know which i enjoyed more listening to the game or seeing Bozone whine like a little girl. This is my first post, so I dont want to sound like someone who just began to follow the team.
MSU and UM both have young teams so hopefully the games should be less one-sided than they have been in the past ( with us losing most of those in the past years).
Just like in football I think rivalries are at their pinnacle when the games are competitive.
Congrats on the season MSU, and good luck in football in the fall.

I don't think we are going to be able to beat any big sky teams consistently, especially the friz until we are able to match them physically. We can steal a few games early, but when it comes down to it...the boards and defending the paint are what make the difference in the end.

Well, at least he didn't make any excuses. Just flat out said the griz played much better than we did. Gotta hand it to Mick, nobody handles losing with as much class [insert crack about nobody having as much practice here].BozoneCat wrote:Here we go. Let's see what kind of excuses Mick offers up this time around...
