I like to take my 14-22 inch rainbows and head for the south. They make pretty good striper bait--especially in the states that don't allow them as bait. The state record striper in Tennessee was thrown out a couple of years ago because the guide used a rainbow as bait; pretty good analogy, in my opinion, as to what will happen to the fizzlies again if they try to go play with the big boys again

I guess what I meant was, as a player and the economics aside, would you have rather played against the less competitive I-AA schools or the higher competition in I-A?
Texas El Paso, San Jose ST, Louisiana Tech, SMU? This isn’t much better then the Sun Belt Conference. The only good Football schools are Fresno & Boise, and they are probably going to get out of the conference as soon as they can.

As a player you always want to play at the highest level of competition, but you don’t want to lose all of you games either. If I was playing right now I would like to be ranked in the top 25 at the 1-AA level rather then be ranked in the bottom 100 in 1-A.

Everyone needs to "aspire", but UM and MSU (or either one alone) moving up to 1A and consistantly staying in the top 50 of that division is like Western or Northern moving up to 1AA and doing the same thing. The "factors of production" are simply not there. Next..
