What are your thoughts about Montgomery and his chances as a head coach in the NBA? He must be one great coach, to be able to make Stanford what they were with their incredibly stringent academic requirements. Can he go from working with motivated smart jocks to the typical NBA guaranteed contract spoiled brat?

PROBABLY NOT VERY GOOD IF YOU LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF SOME OF THE OTHER BIG TIME COLLEGE COACHES WHO TRIED IT.
NAMES THAT COME TO MIND AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST WOULD
INCLUDED RICK PITINO AND P.J. CARLISSIMO. AND THINK THERE ARE
PROBABLY SOME OTHERS.

Don't forget he also got $6,000,000 for the next four years before coaching his first game at Golden State. Do you think that anything to do with his decision?

I think he'll get rich, rich, rich, which is great, great, great, and Golden State will still suck nevertheless...Phil Jackson or Red Auerbach couldn't make them a winner.
