All right how do we get a Griz billboard put up in Helena? Is there one and I missed it? I am totally disgusted... a block away from my work there is a Helena is Bobcat territory billboard??? This is completely unacceptable in my professional opinion!! I realize we are smack in the middle but come on.
I know we don't need to sell tickets and all that...but what about showing some Griz Pride? I love the Griz Billboards! Plus I think they are trying to take over Helena... just yesterday I was going home from work and pulled up to the stoplight, Pickup in the turn lane bobcats bleep all over it, chick in front of me in an SUV same deal, then a car pulls up to the right same thing. I about wigged out!! I may have to move...
Yeah there is a huge one in Billings that says this is Bobcat country. How did this happen? I might have to hire some local vandals to fix that.
They have one in Butte too...on Continental Drive. Ridiculous!
So what are you reading?

I read a lot of typical fizzly whining......

I'm reading:
Maybe if all of UM's tickets weren't already sold and demand was so high they would advertise a little bit.
Relax. They are trying to sell tickets. We don't need to do this because our tickets are sold out. There are probably those billboards in Billings, Great Falls, Butte, and other towns too.
It's because our Program sells itself. That's what the Cats have to do to try and keep up.

Didn't we just sell like 19,000 season tickets, I don't think we need any Billboards
It sounds like if MSU could sell football tickets as well as they sell bumper stickers they'd have a shorter time-frame on their expansion than 20 years.
Billboards are tacky and tend to reenforce the trailer park image that is Montana State University of Bozeman.

Well, sorta.......... I can think of at least one if you consider a hand painted piece of plywood alongside the interstate fence west of Whitehall a billboard.

There are also a couple by Shotgun Willies. They're small (that's what she said) and hand painted. But they're most definitely not white trash.

Have you SEEN missoula?

I think you don't get it. Sleeping in until 6 won't get many people very far in life, especially if they want to play on Sunday.

I am envious of the first 5 threads in smack on bobcat nation being about the Griz

Not that I particularly care about the Smack board, but isn't that kind of the point? Seems bobcatnation would be an odd place for starting a bunch of smack threads about the Cats.

Ok, I will give you that one........................................we had turf first.

You guys were envious for years, defended grass as "the real way football should be played" and then when you get turf now your turf is the best on the planet.

That isn't in smack yet is it?

So we get a couple of National Championships, then you get a few.
We get new turf.....then you get new turf.
We get a kicker in the NFL (Stenerud).....then you get one (Carpenter)......
Geez, would you quit trying to follow your big brother?

I'm one of those that think that football should be played on real grass and in the mud, but to be competivie at this level I understand that you need a consistant playing surface, which grass isn't. That being said I think our turf is better than the griz turf. Is that smack?
