Anybody able to compare the two based on Great Falls and Bozo? My preference in GF was Coppock but that was mainly based on his lower body strength when and if our pockets ever collapse this year (    ) and I thought he'd do a little better job when we move the pocket, bootleg or run draws. Just curious if anybody went to both scrimmages or looked at film...

I think Carpenter has the stronger arm...mostly because his upper body and arms make him look like a linbacker. I was really impressed the time he ran for about 15 yards just before the first touchdown. He has some real speed! Also when he was rolling out and was trapped against the sideline he flipped the ball backhand to a reciever about 5 yards down field. The play had Lulay written all over it!

If saturday was a griz scrimmage, all the griz fans would be ready to book their tickets to 'nooga, and annoiting Carpenter as the next DD. I love having THREE quarterbacks that can toss a ball better than anyone on the griz roster. :D :D :D :D
  Sometimes I have had reason to believe that if you have six good receivers and four of them start every week it is the reason you have a good looking QB. Not the case for Lulay as he had to do it the hard way. How many good cat receivers are running around making things happen this year? Contributing to making Carpenter and Coppack look good? Griz QBs are not looking at the receiver depth they were able to toy with for the past 20 years. I do not know which comes first the QB or the receivers.

Okay. Do you think Junior has had more than a little impact on the development of our receivers?

It's interesting that the receivers looked out of synche for the first part of last year, but all of a sudden they started working like a well oiled machine (partly due to moving Gatewood to the slot and adding Eddie Sullivan), but since then it looks like every one is on the same page and we are developing receivers like rabbits!

Junior definitely has an effect on this, and I believe that once he figured out how to get through to them he found a way to mass produce them! It also doesn't hurt to have good athletes to work with from the beginning!

Well, my clock says it's close enough to 4:00 for government employees  It must be Miller Time in Glasgow...time to hear what a young old lineman has to say about the development of qbs and receivers without a line :-k

In most of our podunk bars, a beer came before the hardboiled egg...but who cares? I'll drink to that  And while you're at it, get me a hamburger steak with two side orders of not too greasy fries and three eggs over easy...like Jimmy Buffett says, "Gotta go Fishing, gotta go fishing again..."

...and I landed my biggest rainbow this side of the divide tonight in less than two hours of fishing...ten and a little bit more, for what it's worth! Thanks, North Dakota =D^ It wouldn't have been up here unless they'd have planted it a few years ago :-$

Should put a picture of that rainbow on this thread. Plus share where you were fishing, what you were using and directions to get to your secret spot. :D

...there cannot be anybody in here old enough to remember Manny...I will give ya'll this bit of advice. Just like my oldest son will not work as a chemical engineer so he can spend every waking moment on the Clearwater under the guise of guiding for steelhead, you too can experience the joy of HUGE rainbows as soon as you toss your feathers in a bin this time of year. If you use about a 12-15 inch sucker and find one of our dams--any damn dam in the state and pitch them out the head of the holes just before dark or right where the water breaks over into a rapid in the morning, you too can catch and release the kind of fish I thought were only caught on charters in Lake Michigan or their tribs  One big fish cured my purist son (besides, he has San Juan worms and nymphs in his assortment of flies and you may as well use nightcrawlers and a bobber).

You're right, I'm not old enough, but my Dad worked at Manny's.

Manny's...the memory made me post...the ten stool restaurant at the intersection of n 7th and main...10,000 served 10 at a time...I believe Flo was the waitress and she had her johnny cash autographed photo on the backwall...those were truly times to cherish...much simpler time...used to go there with Ernie Lewis and Tim Mannix...Ernie was a d-line guy from the sixties and Tim was a local hell raiser...after partying at St. George and the Dragon we usually found our way to Manny's...eggsl...huge burger pattie...hash browns and a quart of milk...
