Spring Football 2006
I was really thinking that the Cats should seriously consider a rotation for the Triangle Classic. MSU football needs to concentrate on playing this game in areas that we produce the most support for Bobcat Athletics. The game should be held in major cities in Montana (not Lewistown or Stevensville to name a few). The game should be held in Billings, Great Falls, Butte and Helena. There is no reason to waste this wonderful opportunity to showcase Bobcat Football on communities that are primarily filled with Griz fans. You have to go to the communities that are receptive to the Cats. After hearing about the huge success that we had in Great Falls I think that we have to build off of this, and make it as big as a regular season game. We need to exploit this scrimmage for all that it is worth!

I agree, however the major cities need to take a page from Great Falls. They did a tremendous job, $75,000. The last time it was held in Billings we raised $500.00, how pathetic. I attended the Cats and Claws function in Bozeman last saturday and they to need help from Great Falls as well. Its going to be hard to get this function from Great Falls after their tremendous success.

Well, guess what! Billings Central, the school that gave Dennis Erickson his start
is getting a new marketing director, according to the radio. I'm fairly certain he'll make contact with the Muri's, Fietner's and more than a few of the 76 and 84 teams and start shaking a few bucks out of them for the Cats
Look for great things out of the part of the state again.

I don't think you'll find anyone who will argue on that point, but I think it's really heading in that direction. Great Falls has done a great job the past couple of years, and unless something changes I don't see a reason not to keep the game in Great Falls.mquast53000 wrote:I was really thinking that the Cats should seriously consider a rotation for the Triangle Classic. I live in Billings and would love to see it rotate. However, Great Falls has been doing a SUPER job raising money/organization etc. I think they have proved that they should at least have 1 scrimmage up there a year. They have done a WONDERFUL job hosting it the past couple years. Its worth it to our program to go to the places that can be successful and raise a lot of money for the program. I think it should remain in Great Falls. ALso, G.F is so centrally located that fans can come from any area of Montana with minimal driving etc. It is a very good place to have it I think.Robcat wrote:I agree, however the major cities need to take a page from Great Falls.
