A Green would probably suggest that there would be savings in lung-related illnesses paid for by the government, or by the future cash flows saved from not having to deal with the destruction of our climates due to greenhouse gases.

I don't think either of those would really come into play, though. However, if we did see a dramatic reduction of gas sales (and especially if we were ever to hit zero) just think how much less cash we would have to spend on military and foreign aid to prop up the oil pumping governments in the eternal trainwreck known as the Middle East? We could just build a big wall around it and let them kill each other for the rest of eternity (since that's just what they do) without us caring about them. That would be cool.
