Second Most Hated School in the BSC

Isn't this only opinion from Cat fans? There are no other BSC team fans posting, and how conveniant that MSU was left off the list. I wouldn't say the Griz are the most hated, they are just the one everyone wants to beat because they've won all but one Big Sky title in the last ten years.

So that's two threads on who Cat fans hate the most....Y'all are awfully bitter. From what I've seen there's more "FTG" than "Go Cats"..... and you say we're the angry ones?

Just a note, Michael Roos was just drafted by the Titans as the 41st pick. Way to go Michael and do the Big Sky well, just like the others drafted from here recently.

He is the first player to be drafted from Division 1-AA today. Just like Joey was last year, the Big Sky has the first player from 1-AA drafted again.

Why would we have a poll that would include MSU since all of us are Cat fans except for 3 or 4 individuals?

Nick you made the comment that there is more ‘FTG’s” than “GO Cats” yet you are spending time on BobcatNation.com and not egriz.com. According to your line of thought you should be on egriz not Bobcat Nation.

You just proved my point. Why would you have a poll in the first place that ranked the most hated teams in the conference when all but 3 or 4 of you are Cat fans?

I have almost twice as many posts on egriz than BobcatNation. Please feel free to point out how it's possible that I spend more time on here than over there. Am I spending my time saying "FTC" ....no....Just Go GRIZ.

Of course the Chronicle staff didn't understand the poll - they have only been in Bozeman for a year now. They are doing a much better job in their coverage of Bobcat Athletics, but they still don't have a very thorough grasp of the finer points of understanding the pulse of Bobcat Nation... especially since they still (especially Jeff Welsch) make a point of throwing in derogatory remarks about this web site every week.

I hate Idaho State for the simple fact that their team is almost exclusively made up of penitentiary-bound thugs. They play dirty, they take cheap shots and try to injure you, and their coach is the dirtiest bastard of them all (that's why he just got a contract extension). Of course, who else could a coach possibly convince to come to Pocatello? I'd rather pay my own way to Baghdad Community College than take a scholarship at ISU!

What I find interesting about this poll is the contrast between it and its counterpart on egriz. On this poll, there is an assumption that the Griz are the #1 most hated team, and the question is phrased as "who is #2?"

On egriz, the poll was stated simply as "which rival do you hate the most," with MSU being listed as one of the choices (along with, I believe, Idaho, Boise State, Reno, EWU and PSU). MSU won, with just over 50% of the votes, but it just goes to show that Cat fans hate the Griz a lot more than Griz fans hate the Cats. It's kind of flattering, actually.

It depends on the reasons for the hatred. If someone hates me because I have actually done something wrong, then I evaluate my conduct and make appropriate changes. However, when the hatred stems from nothing other than the fact that my football team has owned theirs for most of the past 100 years, it is flattering.

Are you kidding me? The 6th post said that they hate the Yankees! When do the Griz play the Yankees? Then it was how they hate Cleveland fans and I guess Griz fans hate Texas? Egriz is full of adult ADD sufferers. I am not sure half of the people voting remembered the question after reading it!

If you read a little more carefully before spouting stuff like this, you'll realize it was a Cat fan (Hells Bells) who said he hated the Yankees. The discussion about Texas was a post intended to antagonize a SHSU fan who frequents the board. But whatever...those posts didn't affect the actual voting between the options that were presented, so I'm not sure what your point is in any event.

*shrug* Perhaps egriz is populated by ADD cases...or maybe it is populated by people who, not having gone to MSU, are capable of focusing on more than one thing at a time (i.e. making fun of Texas while still thinking about which actual Griz rival they hate the most). Trust me; it isn't nearly as mind-boggling as you make it sound.
