Post by briannell » Fri May 06, 2005 12:05 pm

Any known lawyers in Seattle area? need referral for case in Snohomish Superior Court, we already have guilty plea in place, need to know if a civil liability case can be made. Sentencing date to be set soon.

Snohomish County is Everett. I'll check for you. Can't get back until Monday. Will they need to be admitted in Montana?

Thanks! Yes, the individual has taken a plea with the Snohomish DA (sex crimes), and will be jailed here in Everett. We need a attorney that can review our case to see if we can recover for the damages this individual has caused. Also, to cite any case law that may be used to keep him locked up longer than previously agreed upon.

Just wondering why would you want that to happen.....just trying to play devil's advocate...because personally i belive death penalty should be extended to sex crimes....back to my question....why would you want to recind on a plea deal if it keeps him in prison for longer if it also results in the possibility of him/her/it/somthing that i do nto consiter a human being/excaping the charge or am i just trying way 2 hard to read between the lines?

I don't think they said anything about rescinding the plea agreement; they want to keep the plea agreement in place and argue to the judge for a harsher sentence.

Grizlaw is correct in this matter. Trying to find an attorney that can help get us foreign judgement in MT. Until such time we can relocate family back to MT, we need to have attorney in WA to help us with what they call impact statements.

Personally I would like to take this person to our family saw mill, and avoid court altogether. can't, DA subpenas force us to be there.

personally if it were me id have 2 options:

1) move far away....very far away
2) make damn sure that the guy is safe to be released. they have excellent rehab programs id imagion...excelent for after a lengthy prison sentance
3) purchase plane tickets for saudi arabia....give them to him...id bet hed last only one day until he is subject to a public beheading

I would like 5 minutes alone with him. Any man who gets off hurting kids, should get the death penalty.

My wife made the mistake of answering police questions when they came around the neighborhood, now the poor thing can't get away from the DA. When it comes time for me to deploy, i'll probably send her and kids back to MT.

For now she's stuck with subpenas, and court dates. Doing my best to find legal help, so she can feel better about it all.
