Fields said that besides Mich. St. they are trying to schedule two FCS teams for next year for FB. It would appear they're paying attention to BN (and I'm sure others).

Excellent news. That one extra winnable game is crucial for a shot at the playoffs and in general boosting the BSC strength of schedule. I wouldn't mind seeing a home and home set up with Texas St, Sam Houston or Stephen F Austin give us some exposure into Texas now that we seem to be trying to recruit down there. So even though we would be down a home game, we at least gain something in return.

If we have to start going with a home/away to schedule two FCS teams OOC resulting in 5 home games one year and six the next it would make sense to me to do the away game on years when we host Cat/griz. Ideally for the time being we can bring two FCS schools in for the 6 home game scenario (there are a bunch of lower level FCS teams especially back east that might not cost much more than a DII).
