MSU isn't really Montana's rival.
So who's your rival then? Fort Lewis?

You've played them enough lately for them to be considered a rival.

You have to some parity with the other team (i.e. Montana State and Northern Colorado) to be considered rivals. You don't make any sense.

Montana/Montana State is a rivalry in the same sense that hammer/nail is a rivalry.

Everyone in the BSC considers Montana their rival. Just ask 'em.

It means that the griz were constantly playing a sh*tty team to get the "W". And if you play a certain team enough, you somehow become rivals. That's all.

Like our conference? And, honestly, I don't mean that as a bash to MSU. To win (share) as many BSC championships as the Griz have has to mean the conference was weak, right?

It actually just a jab at the griz's consistently weak preseason. Nothing more.

I don't agree the Griz played sh*tty teams ... "those teams" gave us a tougher battle than MSU did, and I don't consider MSU to be a sh*tty team.

Pardon me? Fort Lewis and Southern Utah gave you good games? What have you been smoking lately?

46-10 49-0 35-3

One of the above is the Griz-Cat score. One is Fort Lewis, and one is Southern Utah. If you're going to call the Griz opponents "sh*tty teams," you can't pick and choose. You said it. I didn't.

Everybody on this board, jizz fans included all know that the last 3 years' preseasons have been absolute cakewalks. For you to deny it and say that they were legitimately contended games is pretty ignorant on your part.

PS. I would love to have seen your third string QB play against one of the best defenses in the league for Cat/griz. I have a feeling that the tables might have been turned a different direction if that was the case.

Third string QB's didn't happen. If we beat the so-called "sh*tty teams" as handily as we beat the Cats ... well ... you called them "sh*tty" ... I didn't.

Are you drunk? Our 3rd string QB started Cat/griz, or did you not know that?

Here's a quick recap of our most recent OOC opponents' performances against MSU the last time they played:

'02: Central Washington 31 MSU 16
'05: Cal Poly 38 MSU 10
'06: UCD 45 MSU 0
'07: USU 3 MSU 7

That's a combined 117-33 decision in favor of the Griz' OOC oppoenents.....an average 21 ppg. It should also be noted that all of those games with the exception of Cal Poly in '05 were played in Bozeman....and the last time CP played in Bozeman ('04) CP won 27-14. If these teams are cakewalks, why do they constantly destroy the cats at home?

I guess I misunderstood you, TIrwin24. I thought your comment about wanting to see our third-string QB play was intended to mean that UM third-stringers beat up on Southern Utah and Fort Lewis while we kept our first-string in against the Cats. That's why I said "third string QB's didn't happen." I realize fully the Cats lost a couple quarterbacks this year. And, no, I'm not drunk. Thanks for asking, though.

Chardron State has a board?
I think he meant Northern Colorado.[/quote

I love it. As soon as you start smack with a 'big time'(over 2,000 post) griz poster on our site, all other equal griz morons chime in. They are like a band of insecure griz loving adults with no lifes.

Postscript- any griz who doesn't say the cats are their rivals should not be taken seriously. Visa versa as well.

Your wrong, I haven't responded to anything in this thread.

Oh that's right I am not an "equal Griz moron"...............I must be in a class all myself.

You're right alpha. You can exclude yourself from the "equal griz moron category" - you seem to be pretty objective most of the time on your analysis of griz athletics.
