But he suffered a knee injury last year in the Rainbow Warriors' season-opening game against Florida Atlantic and took a medical redshirt.
"I'm dying to get back on the field," Bass said. "My knee's good to go. I'm ready to compete and ready for a challenge."
hmm i am not into the medical arts but if sombody who has the skill set of a barry sanders has a knee injury wouldnt it affect his performance on the field? I bet he can be a step slower because of said knee injury.
I am not trying to be a party pooper here but lets not get are hopes up high on this kid until he hits the field and shows his stuff...he can easily be a lot slower then he was before the injury...or he can be alright...jurys out on him

I'm kinda on the same path as you Hell's. Except I see his signing as somewhat of an afterthought to compliment the good spring our current RB's had this spring. I'm exited about the three guys we've got. If MB wants to come in and take it (the starting HB slot), that would be just another bonus along the way. Either way, I think we will have a dominant running game again at long last.

I think adding a RB with some questionable history with injuries isn’t a bad thing. I think that our current RBs are a little questionable, and throwing one more guy into the mix is a good idea. If he doesn’t pan out, well we lost one scholarship for one year (really we lose nothing). We are going to need a good running game to compliment our great passing game, and these are the type of steps that you have to take. If he pans out great! if he doesn’t oh well.
