I'm serious, tampa_griz. Is anyone in Gitmo guilty of a crime? Who? Hit the link I posted earlier for an example. But I guess it depends on what a crime is.Griznationalist wrote:I'm serious, tampa_griz. Is anyone in Gitmo guilty of a crime? Who? Using the same source (Wikipedia), I see that of the 775 prisoners, 3 have been convicted, most have no charges against them, and we intend to release most of them because in six years we haven't found evidence to even charge them with crimes.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guantanamo_Bay_prisontampa_griz wrote:Hit the link I posted earlier for an example. ...honestly.. you are on their side? they are guilty until proven innocent in my mind.. i believe obamas reason behind g-bay is strictly based on the corruption of our interrogation methods, and it also gives the place a very bad name... now dont jump to conclusions and think that all these 'good Samaritan's' will go free.. they will be rightfully tried in our supreme court system and convicted and put into one of the prisons in the US. so with that being said if someone is wrongfully convicted as you suggest, blame the supreme court judge and jury.. or if someone is wrongfully not convicted.. same thing..Griznationalist wrote: Using the same source (Wikipedia), I see that of the 775 prisoners, 3 have been convicted, most have no charges against them, and we intend to release most of them because in six years we haven't found evidence to even charge them with crimes.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guantanamo_Bay_prison

I don't know enough to be "on their side," so my answer is, no, I'm not on their side. I don't believe you or anyone else know enough to be "for them" or "against them," either (why else would the vast majority be sitting there without any charges brought against them and about ready to be freed?). I'm not fighting or arguing with you. I'm just asking, if they are "guilty" in your mind, can you provide us specific details as to the crimes that everyone there committed? Or, are you just trusting George Bush? I'm not slamming you if you're simply trusting Bush. I'm just trying to figure out where you're coming from.futurebobcat wrote:...honestly.. you are on their side? they are guilty until proven innocent in my mind.. i believe obamas reason behind g-bay is strictly based on the corruption of our interrogation methods, and it also gives the place a very bad name... now dont jump to conclusions and think that all these 'good Samaritan's' will go free.. they will be rightfully tried in our supreme court system and convicted and put into one of the prisons in the US. so with that being said if someone is wrongfully convicted as you suggest, blame the supreme court judge and jury.. or if someone is wrongfully not convicted.. same thing..Griznationalist wrote: Using the same source (Wikipedia), I see that of the 775 prisoners, 3 have been convicted, most have no charges against them, and we intend to release most of them because in six years we haven't found evidence to even charge them with crimes.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guantanamo_Bay_prison

Re: OBAMA
It has also been in the news the past few weeks about some of the detainees getting released and now they are back in leading roles with these different terrorist groups, but don't worry they are good guys with a bad rap.

Actually, now I'm going back on my thought process and realizing that it would be a good idea to send these Gitmo prisoners to our prisons because as soon as they get there, the prison gangs are going to kill them anyways.

I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't give a damn.

The reading comprehension quotient of some people here appears legally drunk. I never said "there (sic) all good guys." I asked if anyone can tell me a single crime that any of the detainees are guilty of committing. One guy responded with one example. I checked his source (Wiki), which said out of 775 detainees, 3 have been convicted of crimes, the vast majority were never charged with anything, and many have been released. TIrwin24 and STREETCAT must have some inside information that George Bush could never find in regard to evidence against these detainees.STREETCAT wrote:I would rather Grizdelusionist adopt them all into his home.
