eastcoast is right, you don't know how good a team is going to be when you schedule them. You might have a good idea, but you don't know. Everybody though UNC was going to be good last year, but weren't. Maine was supposed to be atop the A10, they weren't, but were still a very good team. Some people were talking about SHSU not being a tough team, I for one though they would be, but a lot of other people were off base in their preseason assesment of them.
None of you people know if OSU is better than Oregon, for sure. My opinion is that Oregon will be the better of the two, but that is just an opinion.
SFA could be a playoff team and win the southland, or they could have a big down year and be at the bottom of the southland.
I think NDSU will be better than SDSU, but I thought the same last year and SDSU beat NDSU.
I've heard from someone very close to Cal Poly that even with the big losses, they may be very good this year. I don't know that I've seen it on here, but some seem to think they will have a down year. Who knows?
Fort Lewis is a bad game to have, but its not like the cats can strut all high and mighty, like they have never schedule a DII school.

And you know, I believe last year I heard complaints that the Griz were too high in the polls. And I guess you can all pat yourselves on the back, they were one spot too high if you consider their hightest point in the polls. But there were quite a few other teams rated too high as well, and by a few more slots than the Griz. Sure this could be a down year, this could be the year were cat fans are right that the Griz are rated two high and the cats too low. I thought the cats were too low last year, but the cats proved me wrong. I think they are too low again, so we agree, but will they play a full season, or prove me wrong again.
I don't think the Griz should be in the top 5, maybe not the top 10, due to the loss of nearly every big playmaker and a very experienced QB, along with a backup QB who was reliable. But year after year, they are in the mix, it really is hard to bet against them and be right more than you are wrong. But I guess if you predict a down year for the Griz and and up year for the cats every year, eventually you'll get it right.

I can't predict anything. That is why you play the games. I think the Cats will be stronger in a lot of areas and not as deep in others this year. We will see how the season unfolds. Just like Kramer said in THE LINE "Football is the ultimate reality show" Anything can happen on a given day. Good teams step up to the challenge though. I think we have character on the MSU team to do just that this year. How it turns out I do not know. We will see here in about 88 days or so.

I really don't get how people can't like Kramer. He is a quote generating machine, and a pretty good coach and recruiter to boot.

I've got to admit that I agree that this should be a down year for the Griz, and if the cats don't get it done this year I'm going to begin to wonder if they ever will under this coaching staff. This years cat O has as much speed and athletisism as I've seen, and the D looks to have all of the ingredients as well. But you'll have to win dispite of things like injuries, and put together a complete season to do it.

I think a lot of people are banking a lot on this season. All the pieces are in place and if we don't get over the hump this season you may be correct that 7-4 and a first round playoff loss is as good as it gets. Kramer has done a ton of good for the program and is very popular but at some point wins and losses are going to be all that people want.
