“I think this country has a purple heart, not a red heart or a blue heart,” Biden said. “If we can’t bring this (country) together, man, boy, we’re really in deep trouble.”
He was talking on the Don Imus morning show. I guess Montana is a purple state with a Dem. Gov. and a Rep. Lt. Gov.

I like Biden, its too bad he, Richardson, and Edwards have to run around the country running mopping up Howard Dean's mess
The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

If Bohlinger's a Republican, I'm John Wayne. It was all a facade just to get him (Shweitzer) elected...

Eric Curry
STILL makes me sad.

After Martz, the Dem's. could have got Howdy Doody elected. Since Howdy wasn't a Montana resident they chose the next best option.

In terms of bringing Montana up the economic ladder Martz didn't do much worse, if not the same, than Racicot. It will be interesting to see if Schweitzer will make any progress in this area. Can't hardly go down. People seem to speak fondly of Racicot and I'm wondering what he did besides gain national popularity(?) during the Unabomber/Freemen Era.

Don't forget he was the prosecuting attorney in the case of the survivalists who abducted and shot Kari Swenson as she was training for the biathalon at Big Sky.

Our state politicians leave me scratching my head most of the time. One of the biggest problems that we are faced with is the feeling that it is Eastern Montana vs Western Montana. Our state politicians are always battling each other, and so they never get anything constructive accomplished.

CatGrad: I thought that was Johnny French...just kidding. Was that a difficult case to win? Dan and Don Nichols, right? Seems like it was open and shut. Another instance where he gained some notoriety from a strange event.
