Stadium Expansion

I'd be willing to bet that upgrading the endzones is a good move from a cost/benefit perspective. There's probably some sort of relatively cheap alternative to the current Pepsi zone seats that looks far better. Even temporary bleachers look better than that deathtrap.

And a nice "bald" mountain right next to the stadium with a big "M" on it. And a big arch way that goes over "tailgate row"! Maybe some pretty colors scattered around like silver and maroon!

I think that is a really neat idea. You could sell tables and have a set up kind of like a nice sports bar. Hang TVs everywhere and have the play-by-play piped in. Have a full bar and maybe a small kitchen for making appetizers. I bet you would sell everyone of those tables in no time. It would be tricky to make work, but if you did it would be a great season ticket option. When games are not being played you could rent out the facility to interested groups.

I Love it, kind of the like a Bobcat Tavern club. They have a simliar thing like at Cobb field here in Billings where they have a deck you can sit at outside by third base side and you can order beers/food etc. I really like that idea as it would be unique to any venue in the Big Sky or 1-AA for that matter. Couple that with some boxes on the south end and you have some very good 'income' opportunities add to the stadium. I think MSU really needs to have a meeting/forumn on this where ideas can be thrown around and talked about. If they are going to expand/build onto the stadium they should get some ideas from the people that actually attend the games! I know money is what will limit what gets built etc. and for now I am even satisfied with just putting in a new south stands 'burm' and bleachers w/o boxes.

I think as top priority for the next phase it should be

1) Remove old south stands, and at least put in some new more stable bleachers/burm at the minimum. They could build up a dirt hill and put concrete or even concrete base and metal bleachers to fill in that side/connect the 2 sides.

2) If they do #1 though, I bet they will want to add boxes in for sure as that is added income so boxes would be the next priority.

3) Once horseshoed in, I would next concentrate on the parking lots and try and get them paved/trees etc. I'm not sure how the trees would hold up for some of the rowdy tailgaters so trees may be optional. Not very many tree huggers at Bozeman tailgates I would imagine

4) Bobcat Deck/Club level on the north side complete with deck/restauraunt where you can drink/order food. It could be sealed up with windows on cold days where you could still watch. I really like this idea as it would be a casual area where people could watch football in open venue. Not sure on campus rules, but maybe they could get a chain type restaurant to put up some money to build a resaurant in there complete with a main entrance where it could be a restaurant/bar on regular days and on game day it would take a special type ticket to be allowed in from 11-5 etc. This might be able to split a lot of the cost out and also give Bozeman another type restaurant/bar.

You end zone dwellers gotta be kidding??!!??. Somebody call ESPN and tell them to get their cameras out of the booth on the 50 and take them to the endzone. Yep, I've sat in the end zone. Maybe when we assign ticket space to the opponent seating we should send our fans to the endzones where the view is better and giveup the sidelines to the visitors.

It's already there- called the Stadium Club, between the sky boxes, but limited membership due to fire codes. Certainly not a bad idea in future plans, but again capacity will be determined by size and access.
