Do you honestly feel that anyone on this board has any pull whatsoever in terms of who Ash offers schollies to? These arguments you keep up with are the same ones you pushed when Sean was in high school. All I can say is that if he really is that good and MSU didn't offer, another D-1 school would have. Why is he at a JC? Was it academic related or because he needed to improve? Either way it wouldn't have made sense for Ash to offer him out of HS and since then Ash has seemingly found Fischer's replacement. So unfortunately for Sean it was a)bad timing and b)a coaches decision that nobody on here can do a damn thing about.
LTown - coaches and recruiters are not stupid. This kid probably had all the talent in the world and probably could have gotten several big offers. But I'm sure once the coaches met his dad, they probably freaked out. And chances are very good the son acts just his old man, which probably really scared them off. Programs want talent, but many times they don't want all the baggage that comes with that talent.
Exactly! But let me reiterate so that even Oiger or Carlito or whomever can understand....either a)he didn't qualify academically, b)he wasn't/isn't good enough, c)there was somebody better, or d)there are personal issues that Ash and staff identified (ie: his dad is crazy and/or the kid is too). #-o

So why prowl Bobcatnation? It boils down to a decision for Ash and staff and obviously they aren't interested........I don't blame them!

If his son ever Googles himself (and who hasn't? ), he might be more than a little embarrassed by this little exchange.

The 28 yard average last year may make that kind of tough.
Didn't stop him from getting two offers this summer.
By the way, you're welcome. We could pretty easily have posted those nasty emails you sent us that identified you as his dad and put it up on this website for the entire world to see (and for every single recruiter to stumble across toward the top of the list when they google his name ... and google loves this site). No recruiter would touch him if they saw the stuff you were saying to us.

But because we know that kids can't choose their parents, we didn't do that. In fact, we buried it all so your actions wouldn't harm him.

With that in mind, it would be really nice if you'd quit being a jerk to us and everyone on this site. We've already done your son a huge favor once, so I think it's the least you could do to just be civil toward us in return. I hope your son has a great career, gets a great education, and has a wonderful and fulfilling life. I hope you don't have an adverse impact on his opportunities to do just that.
In the end, forums like this are for fun. Carlito Brigante, Max Cady, and Oiger Sorbo ultimately have nothing but pure love for every public institution in Montana.

The JUCO kicker's great-great-grandfather had two motions for inclusion into the first constitution:
1. That the state superintendent of instruction be paid the same amount on a yearly basis as the state attorney general.
2. That alcohol and gambling not be allowed on the same premises (kill joy).

The first motion made it through to law, and the second didn't. In defense of her shoddy work, the park ranger up the river pointed out that the conventioneer left the convention for a three-day walk-about. She didn't want to communicate by e-mail any longer (eventhough she originally requested it) when it was asked what bordello she hypothesized he visited for that brief period.

Yet, it is reasonably well known that he put all the pieces of the constitution together and ultimately wrote it. That is still to be confirmed with writing samples, if they can even be found.

The JUCO kicker's ancestoral DNA is in the work that apportioned/appropriated the land for each Montana public institution of higher learning. His DNA is also buried in several places within the state boundaries (unless they have been removed as part of the coal resource).

Now, Carlito never starts anything on this board. The antagonism always starts with you. This is how Carlito knows that you are not aboriginals, because Carlito was raised by aboriginals. You are not even in the same universe. Like recognizes like, and both Carlito and Bobcat Nation consistently fail to do this.
Ummm, what? I have a special file at work for pieces of literary work like this. Its called the Crazy Letter File. You're the newest addition. Congratulations.
I presume you are referring to BAC's entry. Aren't you late for work?

OK, sportsfans, here is the scoop.

Old man does not talk to coaches, unless coaches want to talk to him, which does happen. They are not scared away in any way, shape, or form.

Player not a qualifier straight out of high school. Became DII eligible over summer. Hopefully, will be DI eligible over intersession.

That's it. Boring and simple.

As an objective observation, with our academic history, it would be highly, highly unlikely that MSU would take a chance on a nonqualifier at the position of punter, regardless if his average punt was 28 yards or 45 yards.

Not that our coaches would likely be interested in him anyway, as they certainly would have been turned off by these (and your previous) posts.

So you can probably just put to rest the discussion on this site.

Word of advice ... if you try to pimp your son on other message boards, try being really nice to the people on those boards. That might impress people and actually help your effort.

I'm confused. But alas, it appears you are too! #-o

So there is the underlying issue.....if, and I do mean if, he was good enough out of HS, Ash wouldn't have went after him anyways. Which brings us to the present....if, and I do mean if, he is good enough now, Ash probably won't go after him because unfortunately for Sean, Ash has already recruited Fischer's prospective replacement--how can you, or anybody, fault Ash or MSU for this? Why would you or Sean hold a grudge if Sean goes to another BSC school and act poorly towards MSU? Sounds like Sean didn't hold up his end of the recruiting bargain in HS by making himself D-1 eligible. It isn't MSU's fault that they went and got a replacement punter when Fischer was a senior to be..... #-o

And like I said--this is all if he was even worth Ash recruiting him to begin with. That all said, good luck to Sean. If his dream is to play D-1 football I hope he works hard at it and that dream is realised.

During the Dixie St. broadcast, it was clearly stated by the announcers that Maestro Ash would rather not bring in JUCO players at all if he could get away with it. To me it seemed the statement was made without regard to position. I'm not sure it is a decision made based on the fact that a lot of JUCO athletes are non-qualifiers.

Not being a good student and/or not being bright enough to qualify are not the only reasons a particular athlete does not qualify. Also, I have seen many more than one fall-back (a qualifier by construction) make a mess out of their JUCO academic experience because they thought they were smarter than all the non-qualifiers.

BTW, it was my impression that the coaches really don't pay attention to this board.

I agree. He made a choice on a replacement, and that should be his guy.

Oh, the dream will be realized, and there will be no grudges.

Forums are for fun and being "crazy." Maybe even cathartic. This is high camp.

Now, in regards to Ash going after him, he has gone after him, but in a way you wouldn't typically expect. There is a lot of cross and back pollination going on out there.

Oh, Montana would still exist, it just would have been at the hands of another ringer coming in from the East Coast. But, while we are on the topic, we did create the damn state, and don't you forget it boy. Just because someone gives you a zip code, a driver's license, a license plate, a Medicaid card, and food stamps doesn't make you a Montanan.

And, you need not hope. I will disappear like a Bevo fart in the wind. Kinda like the sort you let out in Amarillo that eventually becomes hurricane force by the time it reaches Galveston.

OK, how is this: make sure you get your quota this month and don't forget to still be adamant that it costs more to write a ticket than the funds you receive from writing it.

Do they pay you overtime?

Weak gets weak in return. Your two previous posts were among the worst.

Every coach googles the name of every recruit they look at to make sure there's nothing out there that is a red flag.

This thread and your "crazy dad of the recruit" routine is now out there for every coach in America to read. Congrats.
