Is it time for Ash to go yet?

Post by pooorbobcats » Sat Oct 10, 2009 7:50 pm

After what happened to Kramer in kitty country, are you satisfied with what Ash has produced so far? An inconsistent team that shoots itself in the foot is a reflection of the head coach. So I ask kitty nation, is it time for Ash to go?

Easy angry kitty... Jealousy is a stinky cologne. But it is a serious question, is Bobcat Nation happy with Ash as the head coach?

I say yes. I know what is coming now, people are going to say I am not a Bobcat fan and all that crap, but I don't really care. Walking out of Bobcat Stadium today, I was not the only one shaking my head, wondering why we lost that game. I really thought we were the better team going into that game, but in the end, we should not be feared by any team in this league. Our defense is good, but when do you stop playing zone and go to man? Why don't we blitz? Why doesn't our defensive line get their hands up on passes. I couldn't believe how many passes of Iddins were knocked down at the line. Ash was the right coach for turning around a ruined program, but not the right coach for building a winning tradition. We will not win a Big Sky Conference Championship with him as our coach. I will say that now. I guess I am just one of these people that are sick of always being the "other school" in this state. I want to see the day where we can have a program that is feared and respected, like the other school to the west. I want a winning tradition, fans in the stands, Championships both Conference and National. These are things that just aren't going to happen with Ash.

Just looking at Ash after the game walking over the field to shake Souers hand i could see it in his face that he knows he is on the hot seat! I have also observed on the sunday kitty show he is not a real confident coach and i really think the players see that in him.

Apparently you're just here to be a typical Grizidiot jackass, becaue there are about five other threads that hash out the Ash debate...

What is it with these eGrizidiot trolls? Is there a dime-a-dozen sale on asshats, or something? Does life really suck so bad for UM grads that they have to resort to internet trolling to feel good about themselves?

If you're truly interested in what we think about Ash, try reading the other threads, Moron.

Sounds like somebody pissed in your cereal... settle down big boy. Obviously you are suffering from a severe case of griz envy, and that's ok. I didn't see the other threads, and I was legitimately curious about how Cat fans felt about this issue. And by the way, what is an "asshat"? Sounds like something only a kitty kat fan could come up with... Take a couple of Prozac and settle the hell down

I'm perfectly calm right now. Just because I think that you're an asshat, Grizidiot Moron doesn't mean I need to settle down. It's just an honest first impression.

Let me explain for you: You pick the name poooorbobcats just mere hours after a Bobcat loss, then expect us to think you're here to foster insightful discussion about the status of our Coach.

Only an asshat, grizidiot moron would be stupid enough to think that other people would take the bait. Get it, little dummy?

So, with that said, I'm sorry I'm not willing to play along. Instead, I'd much rather talk about what a f'in tard you are...

Edit to add: I see people don't want any troll feeding tonight, so I'll just hit you up via PM from here on out. Make sure to check your inbox!

I still support Ash & Co for now but they really need to show some serious improvement soon. I mean show some F!@$ing VIM already!!! Ash & Co deserve one more year to prove that they are worthwhile. You have to remember that they inherited a bad football program combined with a loss of at least six scholarships which they just got back a few months ago. That is no easy task to turn around, however, that does not excuse the p!$$ poor play we witnessed today. Tis the time to buck up fellers.

The real question should be: How safe is Peter Fields with a new president coming on board? For example, hiring Rob Ash over John L. Smith; hiring Sara Schaub over Dave Gantt?? BTW, I see Coach John L. Smith is now the Special Teams coach and coaching mentor to Arkansas coaches Bobby & Paul Petrino.

Anyone calling for Ash to go is ignorant.

I am sorry that some of you have forgot the enormous sh*t sandwich he inherited. He has corrected a lot of the problems left to him and seems to have your football team going in the right direction, you just need a QB. (Desin)

He should get at least one more year to make a fair assessment. Then he will have his recruits in the system for a few years and then its all on him.

I think your a year and a QB away from a good run in the BSC for a few years.

Our problem is we are playing a lot of redshirts and true freshman. Know matter how talented they are they make mistakes. We have more talent now on this team than I have ever seen but we need to let the young ones mature!

I think the Bobcats are going to be ok with Ash because he's building a solid foundation. Give your team some time. They sure seem like talented players and Ash is a pretty smart guy who will come through in the long run.

I have a friend who played for the Cats about ten years ago. He put the situation about as accurately as anyone ever has...

"Peter Fields got exactly what he wanted...someone to run a clean program and win 6-7 games a season."

As far as I'm concerned, he is right. I struggle with why we can't have a winning program with good student athletes - but am not an expert so I won't complain about it.

Shut your piehole! Don't come here after a Cat loss, at Homecoming no less, and spout off smack wrapped up in a "serious question". But for a few things going the other way, the Griz could have two losses or more right now. And I don't like the likes of "fans" like you representing the Griz!

I have a healthy dislike of the Cats, but I love cheering for some of thier players. They have just as many kids working their ass off everyday, almost year around as the Griz do that deserve better then a rival kicking them when they are down. I mean, how can you not cheer for a Jeff Hanson?

Your could have asked your question with out the velvet needled comments. I played for Donovan in 85 and listened the Griz fans spew their crap about us. I heard the early questions and comments with Read in 86. Too many Griz fans have gotten fat, dumb and happy and have forgotten how fortunate they are. I have to wonder sometimes if Read would have come in during the BB/internet era if he would have surivived the wrath of "fans".

I have to wonder where the MSU football program would be today IF Coach Don Read had been hired over Coach Mike Kramer. MSU certainly wouldn't of had the Thugs & Drugs crowd that Kramer et. al. brought in but I'm not so sure even Coach Read could have developed a a winning program at MSU. In the past 30 years we have had maybe five very good to great seasons. The other 25? Not so much. :( Bad DNA, cultural reasons, psychological issues, all of the above?? Who knows?

As much as I cant stand most griz fans Alpha speaks the truth here with one exception, the QB of the future of this team is McGhee, I like Desin too but not at QB.
