Not necessarily smack talk, but for those who say it is louder than any other college stadium, is it louder than this???

I don't think anybody thinks it is the loudest stadium around. Especially in the stands. But its one of the louder (not the loudest) stadiums when actually on the field due to the close proximity of the stands to the field. But you do have a good point. 100,000 people in a stadium during a huge blocked field goal to win a game is gonna be louder than 25,000 no matter what.

I've heard some people try to say that referees have told them it is louder than any stadium they have reffed in including big stadiums out of the SEC. I'm know it is really loud, but like you said, not sure how it could be as loud as a place like Alabama, especially after that play. That place was rocking, it would have been awesome to be there if you were a bama fan.

I don't think it's been louder than last years Griz/Cat when the Griz came out w/ throwbacks. 8) Well, maybe it was louder when we stopped you on 4th & goal after the long run.

I wouldn't know, fortunately I was in Disneyworld with my kids during that game. I think that was a much better place to be for a Cat fan at that time last year.

How loud would WaGriz be without all of the air inversions to hold in the sound?

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

Good points, it was very loud both of those times, especially when the team came out. Yes, you kicked our ass so Cat fans can't really talk smack about it, but I will say that as loud as it was when the Griz came out in the throwbacks--it was extremely quite when Crawford hit the open field on the 2nd or 3rd play from scrimmage. I remember talking about how quite it got at the time with the people around me. However, like you said--4 plays later it was really loud again.

I know, I was sitting next to my Cat buddy. I was like, "you could hear a pin drop in here". Crazy start to the game.

What I find amazing is that griz fans actually like the throwback colors....UGLY as hell.

So I would need a pitching wedge?
