Re: Denver Broncos
Pleasantly suprised, and no way I ever saw this coming. And it's STILL mostly because of the defense. I was so impressed with the pass rush on Rivers all night long - maybe that will shut his whiney trap. I shake my head with a sheepish half-grin at each game they win. They are staying relatively healthy, too (knock on wood), and get a bye week before Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Verrrrry interesting matchups for the first couple of weeks in november. I'll be watching.Cat-theotherwhitemeat wrote:Do I need to say it?

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Re: Denver Broncos
Wins over the Cowboys and at San Diego got things moving. It's all about mo, a week off and Home Field in the playoffs. 12-4 should do that. Steelers looked like the champs tonight they are a tough crew no doubt about that.
Never mistake activity for accomplishment.

Re: Denver Broncos
For what it's worth, I was confident before the last second win over the Bengals. I made my super bowl prediction over a month before their first game. I'll take 6-2 right now. They are still getting used to a new system and it'll only get better from here. I agree with jag, 12-4 and ready for a playoff run. How many of you at the beginning of the year thought they'd win 6 all year long? Most people I talked to thought they'd be lucky to win 4.whitetrashgriz wrote:starting to get a lot quieter in this forum.Cat-theotherwhitemeat wrote:Do I need to say it?
SIX AND......OH BABY!that last second win over the bengals really gave you some confidence. and then the monster wins over the browns and raiders really had things rolling. now....starting to wake up. the good news is the donkeys get to play the redskins next week and should be able to win that game.

Re: Denver Broncos
I guessed 4 wins over KC/OAK and maybe another lucky win or 2. Well they surprised me. I'm guessing 9-10 wins as they already got the lucky wins (NE, DAL, CINCY).Cat-theotherwhitemeat wrote: How many of you at the beginning of the year thought they'd win 6 all year long?

Re: Denver Broncos
Update on my case for Romo not being a terrible QB:
True Blue - Josh Ellis Blog
When Tony Romo isn't in Vegas, he actually manages to play some pretty fine football, if anyone has noticed.
In case no one was looking, Romo is just two scores away from 100 career touchdown passes. It's taken the Cowboys quarterback just 52 games with at least one attempt to reach 98. If he gets two more against the Giants on Sunday he will be the fourth fastest to 100.
Here's the list of fastest quarterbacks to 100 TDs:
Dan Marino . . . 44
Kurt Warner . . . 50
Johnny Unitas . . . 51
Peyton Manning . . . 56
Romo likely will fit in between the two Colts passers in the record books. As soon as things appear to not be going just perfectly in December, we're bound to start hearing about how Romo just can't get it done.
But because of numbers like this, we all know better, right? Sometimes it's important to really appreciate what you have.

Re: Denver Broncos
I don't think it happens. Maybe if they were in Invesco, but not in Lucas Oil Stadium. Indy will only have the ball for 22 minutes to Denver's 38, but still win by a TD. That's they way it works with Peyton at the helm.technoCat wrote:How quiet will all ya haters be after the Broncos end Indi's undefeated season???
