Another Bobcat Bar Ruined!

I personally didnt give a fu*k about the ad, in fact I still dont care, but in retrospect it was kind of funny.

There are 3 reasons most Griz fans got their panties in a wad:

1. A large % of them are douchebags.

2. They knew deep in their hearts that BGB would FAIL FU*KING MISERABLY AGAIN!

3. See #1





I also doubt there were any threats, but if thats true those retards should be beat with a pick axe and thrown into the Berkley Pit. See #1

It'd be cool if he stuck by it, instead he just lost business, apologized, called himself classless and stupid, and wished the Griz well.

It's funny to me that whenever the griz lose, they never say the other team was better, or they didn't play well, or anything about the actual game. They always come on here and say how bad we are, and how much we suck, and how much we wish we were them. They try so hard to deflect losing the game so people will forget that they failed when all they talked about was how they are SO much better than everyone, then get knocked off their high horse. When you do you lose, sack up, be a man, and say "we lost, but we had a good year." Not this BS.

We lost because our coaches suck, as a team we were better than Villanova. Nova had one guy

Last year Richmond was a way better team and they won.
In 2004 JMU kicked our asses and it wasnt the field, they were the better team.

While the Spectators ad may or may not have been the best move diplomacy wise. It was bold , and I support the owners right to display it. It was unfortunate that Spectators employees had to listen to irate grizzly fans spew their evil swill. The ad was a hot topic at the Blackfoot here in Helena and the griz fans I know were pretty upset (I had to smile and let it roll over me like a warm breeze). I will continue to go to SPECTATORS and encourage other fans, friends and family to do the same.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (I kinda breezed through the first six pages) but it seemed like Specs took out the ad at least partially in response to the criticism on this board that they were losing cache as a MSU sports bar. I obviously don't know if that was the case, but it seemed to be the perfect time for Specs' owners to remind us MSU fans that they fully support MSU sports, no matter the bar's decor.

I loved the ad and think it's only the sort of thing that results from a friendly (or preferrably, unfriendly) rivalry that goes back more than a century. The negative reaction is really just the latest example of how sensitive we are as a country. Most of us like to think we have a sense of humor and thick skin, but we always seem to be reminded that some people will make much ado about nothing, just to spark some excitement in their day, I guess.

Again, it was a great ad. The owners didn't even throw in 'FTG' or anything. Do Griz fans have a problem with the 'No Griz' labels on the doors of our SUB too, because those have been around for at least since when I started going to school there.

Griz fans call us sensitive all the time, but do we resort to violent threats? I just lost a whole lot of respect for the Griz fanbase.

On egriz there are a few posts about various things. One about a gas leak happening, another about baricading the doors and setting fire to the building and shooting anyone who tries to escape. Another person had the idea of running up a big tab and right before they leave punching the waiter/waitress in the face and then leaving without paying. Saturday night my bartender had a call asking for Joe who was not at Spec's so the caller stated that he was going to come down here and kick my bartenders ass. She is a really nice young lady who did not deserve that. Unfortunately there are very irrational people out there now a days and you never know.

A group of Griz fans should go there dressed in Cat gear and act like they are cheering for Villy. They should run up a massive tab. When the waiter brings the bill punch him/her square in the face and run out of the bar where a second group of fans who are "in on it" are waiting. Barricade the doors shut and set the building aflame (the second group has previously soaked the structure with flammable liquid). Shoot anyone that somehow makes it out or tries to help.

No wonder I avoid efizz at all costs, but in all seriousness, both of those posters are genuinely whacko and djollieballs in particular should be tracked down and put away- that's an individual with some very serious mental problems.

I will apologize Pat and Joe. I don't know if I started it but I was the first to post on here about your ad in the chronicle. I laughed and so did everyone I showed it to. My last wish was for any of your staff to be harassed....unfortunately we (bobcat fans) tend to forget the the griz fans have no sense of humor, because of the huge wad of tighty witeys up their collective a$$.

I love Specs and got great amusement from your ad (including the Saturday ad). I was dumbfounded when I saw the egriz B.S. referring to Northwestern energy and the explosion. Apparently our counter parts cannot distinguish between good rivalry fun and ****** don't go there stuff.

I swear folks posting on egriz have deified their football team to an extent that some have become intoxicated in their worship of the almighty griz and think that anything counter to that is sacreligious. And we all know what religion does to some people. Thus Wagriz could be approrpriately named "The Temple of Doom" (at least for teams like SDSU and ASU) where the faithful gather to worship their pagan god.

I like the ad. I for one, am going to make sure my friends and I go to Specs a little more often. Specs is THE preeminent Bobcat bar in Bozeman. If the bar next to the foot bridge in missoula did the same, noone would care. New drink idea for Spec's. The Griz pacifier. lets discuss drink recipes. I say the last ingredient should be a pinch of lemon, if it gets in the eyes, it'll give em a real reason to cry.
