The Cats certainly did not dominate in 03 either. They won the game, no doubt, but one TD came on a KR, and one on an INT. The cats didn't even have 200 yards in passing and rushing combined. The Griz had the ball over 10 minutes more than the cats too. The Griz are the ones who dominated the game, but lost due to big plays and turnovers.

Jah,

If you look up the stats, the Cats DID dominate the Griz in 02; don't you remember Edwards going like 1 for his first 19? The ONLY thing that was close that year was the scoreboard. I had been stating for a decade that in order to end the streak, the Cats would have to play a game that looked like they were winning by 20 points in order to squeak out a 3 point win, and that is EXACTLY what that game was.

In 03, IMO BOTH teams dominated for A HALF. The Griz offense dominated the Cat D in the first half and the Cats reversed that in the second. The difference in 03, as you correctly stated, were the 2 huge plays; the kick return TD and the interception return for a TD. The funny thing is that there were several games during the streak where the only thing preventing a Cat win were a couple of big plays: 12 men on the field, kickoff out of bounds, etc... You guys have no problem claiming that you were better than us those years, so I'm pretty sure you have to offer the same courtesy to us in 03.

AND, FOR THE RECORD, I pm'd Mr. Daddygriz earlier telling him precisely when & where he could find me just so he can't claim I call him an idiot only because of the "anonimity" of the internet. Kalispell's just as close as Butte for him, after all...

Simple solution: Let's quit calling people idiots and morons. That should preclude any need for steel cage matches near the Berkley Pit.

Well said. I went back an looked at some of the posts, and I clearly overreacted to some of the arguments. I'm obviously new at this message board crap, and took some of the comments way too personal. I've got a ****** Irish temper that's caused me problems since I was a kid. My apologies.

I don't think I have the temperament for message boards, so I think I'll retire. Happy posting cat fans. Good luck against OSU. Truthfully, I hope you beat OSU we beat Oregon so the rest of the country can know what Montana footbal is all about.

Anway, happy posting.

Up with Montana boys!

Ya, just think if any of us ever ran for political office and some of the crap we throw at each other was linked back to us. Some of it would make something like the Plame case a memory when the media tossed it back in our faces. Most (not all) in good fun.

I know, I know ... I'm just trying to avoid seeing blood splatters on the Bobcatnation.com logo in the upper left corner. Glad that everybody has put away the gloves for now. :D

The Cats certainly did not dominate in 03 either.
I definately should have left off the either. 2002 was a pretty pathetic performance by the Griz O, and coaches who left Edwards instead of giving a legitimate, unselfish, hardworking QB a chance turn things around. Some new blood could have turned the game around, or not, but at least it would have brought about some change in the way things were going.
Really, neither team played a very good game, IMO. And I hate to see that. I'd much rather see both teams player their best game, and see someone win that way. It's a little better for the fan.
My eyes glazed over at seeing the personal type stuff in this thread, kind of like an alcohol induced blackout.

Obviously you must have been drowning your sorrows with spiked gatorade on the sideline. You are the one with issues. The Griz did not dominate at all. I was sitting up in your own Griz Booster Section, and a lot of the older intelligent crowd in MIssoula were in disbelief. You, need to re-watch that game. Or is it too painful to take?
