Paypal?

Post by wbtfg » Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:23 pm

I’m looking to sell some stuff of Craigslist, and I’d like to make purchase and delivery as easy as possible. I don’t like the idea of waiting for a check (which may or may not be good), or dealing only with cash, thus I’d like to find the best method of taking credit cards.

Paypal seems to the most popular. Is it easy to use, are there better sites?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I've used PayPal through eBay and stuff and it's super easy to use I think. I know some people use Google Checkout, but I have never experienced it aside from being the person paying, not collecting.

I like Paypal, never had a problem with it. I wish more places online would use it!

Like Coach I've mainly used Paypal for EBay etc, but I've never had any problems and it's easy to use. As I recall it can take a day or two to set up your account while they verify bank info, credit cards, etc., but once you're set you're good to go.

Paypal has a nice feature where it call also generate a 1-time-use debit card. This means it will generate a card number, like any other debit card, with x amount of dollars on it, and once a transaction is completed the card is 'erased'. Very handy if you are buying something from someone or somewhere you don't 100% trust. I've always wanted to use this method for like those cheap magazine deals that will start billing you if you don't cancel in time. I'm worried that it will affect my credit though so I've never had the balls to try it.
