Finally, an MSU alum

Post by longhorn_22 » Tue Feb 23, 2010 2:40 am

I was going to post this awhile ago but I felt like I might come off as too full of myself. Then I decided, I don't care.
Last December I finally graduated from MSU with a degree in Kinesiology. Switched my major once (from Computer Engineering 8) ) and only finished a semester behind the "standard" 4 years. I have had more fun here at MSU than I could have possibly imagined and it's nice to graduate from the same institution as my parents and many other family members. To me, there is nothing like the college experience. Football/basketball games, tailgating, campus life, parties, connections, people, and getting a degree in something you love is second to none. I will be beginning my master's in Sports Management this fall and if all the cards play out right, I might return to MSU. :) I've learned a lot about life and school, and it's something I won't ever forget and will not regret. As my avatar portrays Hank Hill, I hope to one day to be as proud of my job as he is of his. Whether you like the show or not, I think we can all learn a thing or two from the benevolent salesman.

Through my ventures here I have met a few of you and it's pretty fun to put a face to the avatar and user name. I began my reign here at BN when I was a senior in high school and I have loved every minute of it. This site has been a great place for me to get away and mingle, if you will. I have to give a big hats off to Randy, Kevin, and Brad. You guys run a quality ship over here and I can't give you enough kudos. Bobcat Nation has exploded in popularity since I first arrived and I only wish everyone here the best in their futures. I feel very connected with the BN community and I will continue to be a part of it in my future. Now to decide whether or not to make the transition to the other side of the stadium on game day...

Thanks, all! Go Cats!!!

Congratulations! I can't even pronounce that let alone get a degree in it.

Is this so you can one day say....."who's coming with me.....who's coming with me?"

I can't believe my little boy has FINALLY grown up....

I think you don't get it. Sleeping in until 6 won't get many people very far in life, especially if they want to play on Sunday.

Longhorn,

Congrats! But it's not necessary to move to the "other" side of the stadium. Scoot on down a section to 112 and join the fun. It's a great section for the most part (plus, it's in the sun 8) ) We could use a little more enthusiasm in at least a couple of those rows though.

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

That is true about the sun. I do like that.
Now do I stay on the student side for tailgating...

Congrats! Now the real fun starts, seriously. I loved (LOVED!) college life, but it's even a bit better when you are out there as a young guy holding down a job by day and partying by night. It's a lot like college ... except you have a lot more money to play with (and no homework!)! Good times ... enjoy them!

You know, I agree already. When I got done with high school, I missed how fun that was and sort of wanted to go back (sort of ;)). And now that I'm done here at MSU, I miss it already. Although I don't plan on missing any football games.

Congrats Longhorn. I'll be graduating in the Spring with a degree in Business Management/Marketing. Spent some time and had many great experiences at both Missoula and Bozeman. Looking forward to starting a career. Good luck with whatever you choose in the future.

Congrats longhorn and Bdizzle. Probably a good time to enter grad school now with the job market the way it is, but good luck.
