I was up filling sandbags today wearing a Montana State sweatshirt. A guy I was working near commented "Montana Stat Bozeman eh? I went to school there." We chatted a bit, he'd been there similar years as me. When I got warm and took off my sweatshirt and he saw my Montana State long sleeved T (of course) he said "wow, you're a fanatic about it huh?"
Really? I thought I was just a run of the mill alum.
Do you think it's a difference between an out of state kid who just went to MSU? Or maybe I am a nut

I don't believe you can overdue it when it comes to BOBCAT gear. I typically wear BC pants\sweats, with BC t shirt, sweatshirt, and jacket, and of course BC hat, either beanie or cap depending on weather. It's never too much. My griz fan friend calls me the Bobcat poster boy... I just thank him.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

There was a picture in the Wall Street Journal last week of North Dakotan's filling sand bags. One such volunteer was wearing a blue MSU long sleeved sweatshirt. I have to assume that was you????? Congratulations, If I recall, it was the front page.

I don't think I own a sweatshirt that doesn't say Montana State and I have many MSU T shirts as well. I usually get at least two at Christmas time-and I'm pretty run of the mill too.

Yes and yes. Kind of surprising where the picture has ended up!
And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Most of my t shirts and all of my sweatshirts are MSU.

Now that's funny!!! They've got an article on North Dakota sand bag fillers and the picture is of a person wearing Montana State gear...don't you think they could have found someone w/ a NDSU or UND sweatshirt?

I saw this picture in the Arizona Republic last wednesday. My father-in-law brought it over, he thought it was cool to see such a sweatshirt in the Phoenix paper!!! (I think that he was surprised that someone else besides me actually owned a MSU sweatshirt)

Seriously, Chio. That's COOL and I don't care WHO you are. It's always been a goal of mine to have my picture in the WSJ. Of course, I always wanted the caption to read something like, "GrizinWashington, recent winner of the $1.8 Billon MegaLottery Jackpot, stands next to his 299 foot yacht", or "GIW, majority shareholder in Google, GE, Microsoft and the Pita Pit (c'mon, it's saved my life many, many times at 3:00 am, I gotta own it...), retains his ranking as Forbes' richest man in the world for the 9th straight year".
Still, it's damn cool. Congratulations!!!

Yes, there's always lots of Bison and Sioux shirts around, but that was the very first day and it mostly convicts, firemen, and just a few volunteers. I don't know that there were many NDSU shirts. Yesterday there were several from all over the country, many conversations started over the shirts.

Careful!!
I got an email from the Alumni Association last night thanking me for showing Bobcat pride while sandbagging. At least they didn't think I was a nut!!

Those guys in orange, they from the local crowbar motel?
Kudos for helping out. Pretty stressful time of year on the Red River. (I think it's the Red River???)

I'm sporting a bright green bobcats shirt today. I love having an excuse to dress down for work.

I remembered the old green MSU Engineering "10 reasons to date and Engineer" sweatshirt, had to go dig it out of the camping clothes!!
