Re: chris wilson vs. Big Sky
Does anyone know why Wilson did not run in the outdoor season? Looks to me like he probably would've won a couple of BSC titles for the Cats. Is he just concentrating on football the first year and participating in track next year or is his track career over or is he injured? It would be a shame, it seems to me, to not participate in both because he could have a brilliant career in both and especially, track, bring the Cats into prominence in the sprints.

I believe he was injured most of the spring, as he didn't get a lot of reps in spring ball.catpound wrote:Does anyone know why Wilson did not run in the outdoor season? I think he had minor? knee surgery. I can't see him doing both at the same time but maybe in the future when he has got the reps and the coaching staff has confidence in his ability he could take spring ball off so he could get MSU some golds in the sprints.

Not that it matters now because he is gone but I believe I read somewhere that Ricky Evans ran a 10.2 in the 100 in high school
Can anyone confirm?

South Grand Prairies school record is 10.76 and I couldn't find him on any of the Texas top performers lists for 2008 or 2007.

Re: chris wilson vs. Big Sky
I just saw that TWO sprinters from Billings Skyview have equalled or bested Wilson's 10.48 time from last year.
Gage Pickering ran a 10.37 and Mike Nguyen ran a 10.48. Though both were wind aided, they have both run non-wind aided times faster than Wilson's official state record of 10.68.
Hopefully coach Kennedy and staff can get these two guys to find their way to Bozeman for school, as that would be quite a trio if Wilson ends up also competing in track.

Nguyens converted time is 10.56 and Wilsons is 10.48. Fast is fast no matter what and both those Senior kids could help MSU track in the sprints. Just imagine those two along with Wilson ! I'm sure both MSU and UM are after those two and hopefully Dale gets them both.

Re: chris wilson vs. Big Sky
Ngyuen is a bobcat signee. The 10.56 & 10.66 times were wind-aided as well. They are both 10.8-10.9 kids, which is still good.
I swear, it's like I'm playin' cards with my brother's kids or somethin'. You nerve-wrackin' sons-a-bitches.'
