Chilean Miners

Post by D-Wreck » Tue Oct 12, 2010 9:11 pm

Watching CNN. They just pulled the first miner out of the rescue tunnel. Looks like they beat the Christmas deadline by quite a bit! Hopefully the other miners and medical staff they sent down get out safe too.

21st miner (the next up) is the one whose wife found out about the mistress (and vice versa) while he was underground.

I wonder if he'll ask to stay a little longer.

"No, I insist. You go ahead of me. I'd much rather stay down here where it's pitch black and 90 degrees than deal with that mess up top. Just ask them to send down some cervezas and see if I can get cable. Let me know when she cools down."

On a serious note, glad to see these guys getting out safe and in relatively good health. I hope getting everyone out continues to go smoothly.

How are they going to get the last of the rescuers out. On CNN last nite, it looked like it ook 2 or 3 people to get them ready to be lifted out. They are going to have to leave the last rescuer down there.
I was really surprised to see how good all of them looked though when they did finaly get them to the surface.

I just went into the video. They've just rescued number 30. That means 3 more to go!

Definitely, I'm also hoping for their safety. May the medical rescuer will give their full support to the miners. I will pray also for their safety and it is good to hear that there is already saves.
I hope it took them less time to get out, then it did for you to post this. That was 2 months ago.

Chester is hoping that, if they are rescued, one of the miners will be able to persevere the ordeal and run the NYC Marathon on nov 7th. [-o<
