Bobcats win, Bobcats win! 72-69 with big free throws and an offensive rebound to break the 69-69 tie.

Re: Lady Cats vs Lady Griz
Ironically the Griz get back in the game with offensive rebounding and steals, and lose on a offensive rebound by the Cats on a missed free throw near the end and a steal by Bussey to win 72-69!!

Lets see:
Ausha Cole gets aggressive taking the ball to the hole gets fouled.
We can't rebound in the 2nd half but Semansky ties up Griz player on missed FT
Balien hits two crucial free throws...
Bussey steals ball for win...

Sweet win! Weak side rebounding about did us in, but we held on. The girls have won two in a row in Missoula now. It's almost freaky.

Seems to me that while the Cats are for the most part firing on all cylinders the Lady Griz are just starting to wake up to their potential.

Nine straight wins. 5-0 in conference. A win over the no. 2 team. Six of next nine at home.

Yes. At the beginning of the broadcast, the TV announcers mentioned that Carrie Feenstra, a former player at Bozeman High School, walked on to the team as the ninth player. Welcome aboard, Carrie! I hope she gets a little playing time out of the deal.wasacatfan wrote:I noticed 4 girls on the bench who is the extra girl anybody know!
Of course, that was an excellent win yesterday. When it comes to games in Dahlberg Arena, it doesn't matter how far ahead a team gets. A team just has to hold on for a win and that's exactly what the Cats did yesterday. It's going to be a fun game in Bozeman on Saturday!
GO CATS!

Re: Lady Cats vs Lady Griz
This win gave us five straight over UM in the "major" sports, starting with the first MBB last season in Bozeman, then the men's and women's BB teams pulled off a sweep in Missoula, then the FB game last fall, and culminating with the WBB game on Saturday. And the last four of those five wins came in Missoula. Of course, unfortunately, the winning streak ended later on Saturday with the MBB game.
