Montana has a clear advantage over Montana State in every measurement, including the most important one, head to head record.

That is simply the weakest attempt at smack I think I've ever seen. Congratulations Moose Knuckle.

Every?

So three football national championships to two isn't a measurement. MSU also has the edge in the men's basketball series. MSU has won a men's BB national championship. MSU has won more national championships in all sports by a lengthy margin. MSU has a football player in the NFL Hall of Fame and one that has scored 11 points in and won a Super Bowl, UM has none. MSU had a player win the MVP of the Senior Bowl and get drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, UM has no player with either claim. UM has 18 football conference titles to MSU's 17. Clearly one more if that's what you mean, but I sense you mean a lot when you say 'clear.' MSU is currently the better team having won last year's Montana State-Montana game in Missoula, made the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, and also has a share of the league title, while UM finished third and missed the playoffs.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
