A Question from an OSU Fan and Good Luck Against SFA

Post by OSU_orange » Fri Sep 09, 2005 6:54 pm

For those of you at the OSU game, I wanted to ask you a question about the opening kickoff. To honor Vernon Grant, who was killed in an auto accident this summer, we took one man off the kick off cover team and went one short as a tribute. It looked to me like the MSU player had a chance to run back the kickoff but chose not to. I don't know if that was a gesture or if he really didn't think he could make a good return. Have you heard any discussion on this.

Like I said last week -- I was impressed with your team and especially your QB. Good luck against SFA and Cal Poly in the next couple of weeks. I look forward to following your team throughout the season.

Go Bobcats!

I haven't heard anything about that, but will check around at the game tomorrow and get back to you.

I know that the return team knew that you guys were a man short. But I can't speculate as to wether they tried to exploit that or not.

Good luck the rest of the year! We'll be watching!
