BILLINGS - Do you want great seats for the Cat-Griz game?
All you need to do is text one of the following words: "CATSWIN" or "GRIZWIN " to 95730 and you will be entered to win 2 tickets for 40 yard line seats at the Cat-Griz game on November, 19, 2011. You will also be signed up to receive future deals via text message form KTVQ.
Q2 will notify the winners by phone Friday. November 11, 2011.
Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to quit. HELP for more info.
The rules say that the winner will be chosen from the shortcode that receives the most entries. I know the egrizzers are fond of "stuffing the ballot box", but just thought you may all want to enter, just in case. If any of ya win, and only need the one ticket, you can thank me (with the other ticket!)

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
Does anyone know how the standing room only tickets work? It would be for my son and he doesn't need a seat, cause he will be standing or sitting on my knee. I just need to get him through the gate. Any advice?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
See them on craigs list at $175-$300. Thats nuts.
I may have one extra next week. I have to get ahold of those that asked for tickets and see who bails out.

Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
hate to be the bearer of bad news but you'll have to have a ticket for those kids. a couple years ago i was on this very board venting about the fact that i had to buy a ticket for my 3 year old for homecoming....despite the fact that he sat on my lap. i understand where they are coming from in that it is probably easiest to have a set rule with no exceptions....but it is still annoying. no way you get a 5 year old in with a SRO ticket. especially not for this game.

Re: Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
An sro ticket is still a ticket, it will get anyone regardless of age through the gate so not sure why you are saying that. Whether they will be monitoring every sro that comes through the gate and ushering them only to that are (which I highly doubt) is another matter but it will get the kid in the game.ilovethecats wrote:hate to be the bearer of bad news but you'll have to have a ticket for those kids. a couple years ago i was on this very board venting about the fact that i had to buy a ticket for my 3 year old for homecoming....despite the fact that he sat on my lap. i understand where they are coming from in that it is probably easiest to have a set rule with no exceptions....but it is still annoying. no way you get a 5 year old in with a SRO ticket. especially not for this game.

Re: Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
they asked if they could use a SRO ticket to get into the game, and then bring their kids (in this case a 5 year old) to where their seats are if i'm understanding correctly. so unless they are planning on getting their little one in the game, and letting them stand alone somewhere i think they are out of luck. even if the child will be sitting on your lap all game, i just don't see security and the ushers allowing a child with a SRO ticket to sit whereever their parents seats are....kmax wrote:An sro ticket is still a ticket, it will get anyone regardless of age through the gate so not sure why you are saying that. Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
Alright he did ask about that but his last statement also was that he just needs to get him in the gate, which it would do. Have you really had ushers/security check all your tickets? Never had mine checked personally, even at cat griz.

it did happen and it's not like they weren't doing anything wrong. just enforcing the rules which i get. SRO tickets are just that, and I didn't expect to be able to get my kids to our seats. even though the littlest at that time was 2. so i'm not saying it'll happen for sure. just saying that trying to get a 5 year old in your seats with a SRO ticket seems risky, and it'd be a bummer if the ushers said no.
but yes, SRO will obviously get kids in. and if you're lucky maybe even in your seats. but don't be surprised or angry if security or ushers say no is i guess all i was saying...

I'm interested in a single ticket if there is anyone with an extra.

Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
I think the SRO seats are generally marked with a highlighter or stamp to make it easy for the ushers to spot.
I have no doubt there will be extra security at this game, and they will be VERY strict about checking tickets...so I wouldn't just assume you will be able to sneak someone up to your seats with a SRO ticket.

Re: Cat/Griz Tickets
Yeah, agreed with the you can't be upset if they stop you and tell you no. Interesting to hear that you have been stopped. Maybe it is just where we sit but I can't remember a Cat/Griz game in the last decade of having our seats that there weren't extra people crammed in around us. Of course our small section has all been the same people with tix there for about 10 years now and we all know each other well so nobody cares.
