Here I was ready to give you another reasonable response and continue a fun knowledgeable football argument, but my mouth literally hung open in disbelief while I read all that. So I will leave you with this, the better team will win on Saturday. Both of us know who that is, and we both agree on who that is whether you are willing to admit it or not. Have fun on Saturday and enjoy the game. But I do expect you to get back on this board on Sunday, don't try to come up with petty excuses, and admit that you were wrong about your prediction.

One last thing, I will bet you a case of beer or whatever you want that the Cats will win on Saturday. You talk big, but do you truly think the griz will win and be willing to make this bet?

I honestly will be shocked if you break 120 yards rushing against us in this game. If you do then Kudos and I tip may hat to you. I hope and pray that Breske sells out to stop the run and makes DM beat us in the air. If he doesnt or we cant stop the run then its going to be a long day. I think our DL is going to absolutely dominate this game and our front 7 will run around like a pack of steak starved pitbulls all day long.


Also I disagree with your "leadership comment" about JJ he is exactly like DM in that category. JJ has command of the offense better than any QB at UM since Bergquist and hes in his first season. The players know hes in charge and that its his team. They know he can and will lead this team to wins.

I am not knocking DM he is a good QB, I am just telling you I think JJ is better in every area with the exception of arm strength and even that is a close one. JJ makes better/quicker reads, he is definitely more accurate and hes just as calm and smooth as DM is. I know you guys wont agree with this, but hey, somebody has to be wrong.

And just what current year statistical category backs that up? You talk about discussing football, but can't help lead with your arrogance (unsubstantiated opinion in this case).

Go read your own stats post we beat you in almost every category. And we have played the same opponents and the teams that were different are similar. Tennessee and Utah are both comparable. Cal Poly and UC Davis are very similar and UC Davis won the heads up, and we both played D2 schools the difference there is we scored more touchdowns So let me ask you this JJ has had one big game that gave him his stats (v Weber) DM has had to pass less this year because we have a great running game. Yet he still has one of the top QB ratings in FCS, so why are you so confident in an inconsistent and injury prone QB?

Assuming one is willing to give you that "this is the best defense" the Cats have faced all year, what you overlook is that this is the best offense the griz have faced all year. To think that you will hold the Cats to your season average is delusional. Every week this season the Cats have faced a team that was the "best" at something, and when the game was over, that team was no longer the "best." Expect the trend to continue. (BTW, the Cats' defense is the best defense our offense has faced all year).

So JJ is a better QB then McGhee........... then why would UM be rotating QB's every game this season. Is JJ even going to start this weekend? What makes me laugh is you were probably one of the hundred posters on Egriz earlier this season calling for his head.

I actually like reading posts from Griz fans because its nice to learn more about the opposing team, get their perspective, etc.... but it would be nice if there was actually a Griz fan that new what he was talking about and did not have his head completed shoved up his own asss.

You finally were able to climb atop the BSC this season, granted the BSC is incredibly weak year after year and this year was even a down year. Kudos you still got it done and that is a HUGE hurdle for you guys to get over.

You know what is scary is the Cat's haven't put 4 quarters together this year. So I think WE ARE DUE We come out charging from the gate!

I was and always have been a JJ supporter, he has "it". I would have started him last year over Roper and Selle I have never been a fan of rotating QB's. If you have to do that then you dont have a QB. Part of the reason there was a rotation is because JJ had a sprained ankle during fall practices and it has nagged him all season. It got better towards the end and now after 2 weeks to heal he will be as close to healthy as he has been all season.

I am also not a fan of the "wild cat" or whatever you name it. It basically tells the defense, tackle the guy who gets the ball snapped to him.

I have never called for JJs head like the plethora of retards on the other board. He is the best over all QB we have had at UM this decade. Hes a coaches son and it shows on the football field.

Our defense will shut your running game down the same way we did Tennessee. You guys are not any better than an SEC team when it comes to running the ball. The Vols had 128 yards rushing and Poole is better than any RB you guys have. They had 34 carries between him and Lane. So unless you give Kirk 40+ I dont see it happening.

I will say this, we have the better QB.......yeah laugh all you want now but JJ is going to shred your secondary all day and often. He is just as mobile, possibly more so, more accurate and definitely makes better decisions with the ball. Both QBs are playmakers ours is just better.

Just like you claim we've never seen a defense the caliber of UM, I'll counter that JJ, Kemp, Nguyen, and crew have NEVER seen the likes of Minter, Daly, Schreibeis, Moeakiola, and Keli'i. Poole only has 560 yards the whole season 98 came against you (FYI Tenesse is a pass first team hence how they racked up over 300 yards passing on you) lets look at Bauman..... ran for 148 against you, or Mcaffery who ran for 103 in 3 quarters. You can twist the stats however you want. The Cats have a very balanced team that has been very dominant with their offense. And anyone on here could turn it and say your inconsistent offense hasn't played a defense in the Big Sky as talented as ours. Why don't you go reassure yourself on Ejizz.

It's really pretty simple. The Cats have the most efficient and balanced offense in the Big Sky. It doesn't matter how many yards rushing Kirk gets. If the Griz put 8 in the box, the Cats will burn them through the air. If they stay in a cover 2, the Cats will run. The Cats are very different from other teams. They don't have to run or throw. But, the Griz simply won't be able to stop both. Look at the difference in 3rd down efficiency. Cats are by far the best, which means the opponent can't load up for anything in particular and it means no matter what play the Cats run, they're very good at it.

The defenses are both very good, but are very different. Griz rely on blitzing, the Cats hardly ever blitz. The key for the Cats is that they have been able to get pressure on the QB with their front 4 alone. (look at the sack stats). That means they have a lot of guys in coverage. Griz, on the other hand, get pressure by blitzing leaving their secondary vulnerable. On the run, the Cats are able to stop the run in their base defense. Griz rely on run blitzes, once again leaving them susceptible to the big play.

I think one of the big differences is red zone efficiency. The Cats score a lot more touchdowns than the Griz. The spread offense just isn't as effective in the red zone. If Griz just kick field goals, they'll lose.
