i just don't think reid is there yet in my opinion. his shooting is far too inconsistent and he shoots one of the lowest percentages on the team. only guy worse i think is dyson which you kind of expect out of a true frosh. reids 3-ball has been terrible, and i just don't think he's as active on defense as moon is. moon gets his hand on a ton of passes and i think he leads the team in steals. at least it feels like he does.
i think reid will be a good player for us. but i don't think he's doing anything to earn more playing time right now. if anything....i think he's shooting himself OUT of more time.

Blount had a terrible offensive game against the griz-but he was killing himself on defense-really playing hard. He was guarding Selvig quite a bit in the first half and doing a pretty good job on him. I like his toughness and I'm sure that's why he was in the game the entire second half and Reid was on the bench. Moon was also working his butt off. Huse went with the line up of Fall, Allou, Moon, Blount, and Singleton almost the entire second half. I think only Johnson subbed in for a short time at the end. The mission was to go at them inside-and with their bigs out with foul trouble it worked somewhat. But the only guy who can shoot from out in that lineup was Moon and the griz threw a blanket over him. That he hit two 3's was a miracle.
A point guard who is more of an offensive threat than Singleton would be nice to have. Dison could be that guy someday-but he's too young yet. Mayb Biglow-though I won't hold my breath. These sorts of situations never seem to work out for us.

In today's game of college basketball, this is key. You've got to have a PG who is capable of scoring, or at least a threat to do so. You saw a classic example of this in Saturday's game. When Cherry sat most of the 2nd half, the Griz went with DeShields at point for seven or 8 minutes. While he did a credible job taking care of the BB, he had his first two shots rattle out, and then didn't take another. Consequently, the Cat D was able to play way off of him (which they did) and essentially it was 4 on 5 every time down the offensive end. Today, your PG has to do more than get the offense started, penetrate and dish.A point guard who is more of an offensive threat than Singleton would be nice to have
We're all here 'cause we ain't all there.
