vs. NAU
Well looks like we took care of business tonight 60-79
Proud of the boys for staying tough and pulling themselves out of their slump.
Tre and Reid had great games, looked like Dison provided a spark again.

Re: vs. NAU
Seriously. This popped into my head when we got the win:

Singleton went out in style with his last act being the alley-oop to Tre Johnson. A nice memory to carry him out of this season.

Re: vs. NAU
They did what they were supposed to do. Good to see.
Cats had two post players in double digits. Haven't seen that in a good long while.
Reid had another huge night and Dison had seven assists to one turnover. Augers well for the future, especially 2013 and 2014.

So where do bobcat fans want the playoffs? Weber or Missoula? Missoula would give you a chance (maybe) to beat us in our house.
The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

Assuming we beat PSU and make the round of 4 (which won't happen), my vote goes to Bizarro World.Eastcoastgriz wrote:So where do bobcat fans want the playoffs? Weber or Missoula? Missoula would give you a chance (maybe) to beat us in our house.
If that's not an option, I vote for Weber. I would like for Lillard to have a big coming out party for NCAA scouts at the NCAA Tourney so as to ensure he won't be back in the league next year.

Re: vs. NAU
The chances of MSU beating PSU are slim to none, and even if we somehow manage to pull off a miracle and win that game, the odds of then beating either UM or WSU in the semi-finals are so infinitesimal, that I'm not even going to waste my time thinking about which venue I would prefer. I'm sorry to be so pessimistic, but unfortunately the majority of Bobcat fans probably feel the same way. That tells you everything you need to know about the current state of MBB at MSU. After all, we lost 8 of our final 9 games, with the only win coming at home against an NAU team that finished 1-15 in BSC games, and finished the season on a 16-game losing streak of their own. I mean, I'm glad that we finally won a game, but I don't think that win necessarily means that we're suddently a threat to win the tourney.Eastcoastgriz wrote:So where do bobcat fans want the playoffs? Re: vs. NAU
Doesn't make any difference to me where the playoffs are. I don't think we're that bad John K. We only lost one conference game by more than 10 points during that streak (I don't count the OT loss to UNC). We gave both Weber and UM all they wanted both times we played them. I hope we don't play EWU, they beat us way worse than either UM or WSU.John K wrote:The chances of MSU beating PSU are slim to none, and even if we somehow manage to pull off a miracle and win that game, the odds of then beating either UM or WSU in the semi-finals are so infinitesimal, that I'm not even going to waste my time thinking about which venue I would prefer. I think a change is in order, sooner rather than later, but I will never wish this team to lose.

Re: vs. NAU
Please don't get me wrong, I would never wish for them to lose either. I'd be ecstatic if they could get hot and make a run in the tourney, as they did back in 2009. But realistically, that doesn't seem very likely to happen again this year.Hawks86 wrote:I think a change is in order, sooner rather than later, but I will never wish this team to lose.

The fact that over 2700 fan showed up to watch a Bobcat team on an 8 game losing streak play the worst team in the league only reinforces my high regard for Bobcat fans. I can only imagine what the fan support would be like if we fielded a team that competed for championships. Maybe next year.

I was thinking the same thing, though I'm guessing that was paid attendance and not actual attendance.aucat wrote:The fact that over 2700 fan showed up to watch a Bobcat team on an 8 game losing streak play the worst team in the league only reinforces my high regard for Bobcat fans. I would love to see the cats beat psu, come to Missoula and play the Griz in a semifinal. That would be fun.
I have nothing but respect for you bobcat fans. Your lot in life is a difficult one.
Hang in there and Go Griz and go cats!
P. S. I think Dison, Budinich, Fall, Reid, Blount and Moon and your other returning players for next year are a good group and will make some positive noise.

Thank you to all who have served and are serving this country in the military, law enforcement and or as emergency responders! God bless you and your loved ones! John 15:13

Re: vs. NAU
I wish I shared your optimism, but I don't. Neither about our chances against PSU, nor the outlook for next season. I've seen this movie 6 times already, and I don't expect the ending to change when I see it for the 7th time next year.Gallatin Griz wrote:I would love to see the cats beat psu, come to Missoula and play the Griz in a semifinal.
