The FBI vs. Stephanie Swift

This one is just a head scratcher. How exactly does this fit into a "small government" mentality?

I'm not sure about the priority, given the GWOT and all, but I think it makes good sense to go after pedophiles. There are some scary people out there, and as a parent, anything we (society) can do to send some of these perverts to jail is okay with me.

No disagreement about pedophiles, but this particular group has nothing to do with pedophelia or underage porn according to the article. It's strictly going after good old fashioned adult "obscenity," however that is defined at that particular moment.

I doubt it's as "dragnet" an operation as the article insinuates--especially coming from the WaPo; otherwise the Defender of the Free World (aka the ACLU by those "oppressed" ) would be all over the "infrigement of freedom of speech."

Well either the article got its facts wrong, or the FBI is wasting its resources on a non-problem (consenting adult video entertainment). If the facts are wrong, then I hope/assume somebody in the press will point that out, and the Wapo will be exposed for its shoddy reporting.

WaPo overstating an issue? That's never happened.
