Depth Chart

Post by HelenaCat95 » Tue Aug 24, 2004 8:34 am

Does anyone have the depth chart that was released last Friday? And can you post it, or at least spell it out for us?
I think we've all got the general idea as to who is where (and there have been changes since then - like Milton #1 RB, Domineck #2 RB), but it would be nice to see.

I have the latest depth chart and will try to get it put up sometime today, sorry it has taken so long.

Kmax,
Thanks for posting it.

And thanks again to you, and the others that have worked so hard on this site. It works well, and looks good too.

Here you go.

Current MSU 2-Deep

Note that this does not yet show the move of Dusty Daws to TE or the shift in order of the running backs. This two deep was as of last Friday, and for right now I am just going with what has been released by MSU sports information.

So what's the best strategy for a young relatively light, but perhaps athletic, offensive line? It seems that running it down people's throats is out-and our lightness may make Lulay vulnerable if he has to hold the ball a long time for deep routes. Will we see a lot of short passes to the running backs and the quarterback rolling out? Or will we see Lulay picking himself off the turf way too many times?

Be interesting to see. I did a little calculating and if it stays as projected, with Jensen, Birkeland, Wolf, Figueroa, Bolton, we'd average 283. That's based on the last known weights for these guys and I'm sure they're all actually up from that now. Compare that to the average D line and we're probably not really undersized, as long as the strength is there. Kramer mentioned that they're pretty strong, but has Jensen dramatically improved his strength? If we do end up being undersized up there, I'm glad it's scrambling Lulay at the helm though!

Little off topic, but what happend to Terrence King the high school running back Kramer recruited? Did he decide not to honor his letter of intent, or did he fail to qualify?

GO CATS!!
