MBB exhibition game vs. South Dakota Tech

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Sat Nov 03, 2012 9:00 pm

SD Tech is the Hardrockers. Great nickname-especially for a mining school.

Bobcats break it open in the second half and win 93-61.

Tough scheduling with the football game going on. Was there anybody there?

Biglow with 21 points on 9/15 shooting... very nice.

Since the Comical didn't have a story about the game, I assume they weren't there. Nice "newspaper" ya got there.

Yeah, not counting on great coverage from the Dummy Comical until football season is over.

I was a one-man show on Saturday trying to recap everything and put most of the pages out myself. I will cover the men's basketball beat - and women's - to the best of my ability starting later this week until I am pulled off coverage.

GK I don't think they are taking pot shots at you, but more likely your bosses. Everyone here knows the position they put you in when they fired Colter. I think I can say that we all appreciate your efforts and feel horrible about the hand you're dealt, but at the same time I can not support a business that treats its people that way, which includes the way they are treating you. I will still read your content as long as I can continue to read it for free on the app, but that's as far as that goes. I hope you understand and that you try not to personalize the attacks on the Chronicle as they are not directed at you. Good luck in your future and I hope you continue to post here. I also hope your situation gets better at some point.

No, I completely understand that. I was taking it a little personally, but not the lengths a post in the past might have pissed me off. I was just explaining why I wasn't at the exhibition game; that's all.

I wasn't taking a shot at you, Gidal. You can't be everywhere when you're basically a one man show. The shot was at the Comical for firing Colter with no apparent plan on how to deal with the lack of personnel. I think you do an excellent job and I really appreciate all the posting you do on the blog. It is pretty apparent to me that the corporate suits don't give a damn about putting out a quality product. I'm amazed you and Colter were able to do so much with so little in the way of support or resources. Good luck to you and good luck to the Cats BBall teams. There are still some Cat B Ball fans.
