Waiting eagerly for game updates.
Sorry guys I just couldn’t help myself.
Still very interested in that crowd tonight. I guess that’s the price you pay for everything else going so well in Bozeman.

Correct, and who the Hell is Northwest Indian?

Embarrassing, especially if we lose!

Blount was injured...although they scored over 100 points and held NWI to 70...I wasn't impressed with their defense. That 6-4 center, Williams, went around, over and through all of our post players all night...it's just that they had no outside game which was amazing having seen Indian teams from Montana play for so many years....they were in range as soon as they crossed the ten second line!

Colbert looked good, and Moon scored more from intermediate than from 3..which was encouraging.
Danny Robison gets himself in good position to score and they get him the ball but he gets stripped a lot...has to get stronger with the ball.
I still don't see Flavien Davis carving out a niche for himself on this team....he doesn't shoot real well...and for his body size he's a non factor inside.
Paul Egwuonwu seems to have the athletic ability to be a force inside....but unfortunately he doesn't have the experience...he makes nice moves to the basket but can't finish or loses the ball.
Eric Norman is another mystery...good size but doesn't really know what his role is and what his game is.
Kalen Coleman hit four threes tonight...I'm not sure if that was because the pressure was off or he's coming into his own....because until tonight he had a hard time drawing iron!
Mike Dison still looks real quick, but is inconsistent.
Budnich is a mystery to me...probably to Huse too. It seems like they put him in when the game is getting out of hand and see if he can hit a couple threes...other than that I don't know what he's doing there...he seemingly has no need for the paint!
Brumwell started and played about 5 minutes and didn't play until late after that. He played hard but looks sluggish, heavy footed, and un-athletic....I wonder if he's tough enough to play football?

Helcat72's analysis is dead-on. The only thing I would add is that the Field House was empty.

Why would we go to watch them lose? I realize they won, but the odds are they will lose every game.

Meh.... when does spring ball start?

http://bit.ly/YDPVVP @msubobcats postgame blog: Northwest Indian College. Agree with the sentiment that letting a 6-foot-6 "center" do what he did (11-22 shooting, 23 points) doesn't bode well when Big Sky play continues. Williams, based on one game, would be a solid fit on a Big Sky team IMO. Just because of his grit & moxie. And he can shoot. Moon getting to the hoop and taking more than just 3-pointers was good for his game and good for MSU, and the only two things I was slightly confused about was why Egwuonwu didn't get more PT (full-time starter, lowest minute total was 12 in second game of season) and why Davis was absent around the boards. which Helcat72 pointed out. Davis got nearly his average in boards on Saturday (three, avg was 3.6), but does have more of a small forward/third guard style of game.
As for your analysis of Norman & Budinich, Helcat72, you can extend it to Brumwell and Coleman, at least, IMO. It goes back to substitution patterns and there being little rhyme to beyond the top seven players (with the normal rotation of Biglow, Blount and Stewart). I loved hearing Brad say to Jeff "You have that much height on him. I want you inside." Huse should have been saying that to Budinich from day 1 when he walked on campus. He has an OK 3-point game, but I've said it a lot: stop thinking your game is as an outside shooter.

I go because I have season tickets...and who knows...I want to be there when something out of the ordinary happens like they start playing basketball like it's supposed to be played, not street ball!

Alright we get it. Move along.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

I think the guy is related to Cat Grad, except that with this guy I can't figure out the timing of his posts.
