I will be the first to admit that I am not a huge MSU mens basketball fan. I love college basketball, but could give a crap about this mens team or the last four or five for that matter. I would love nothing more than to have a descent team to go watch. By that I mean a competative team. I am not going to get into any of the x's and o's because frankly it just doesn't matter. The fact is year in and year out under Huse this team always goes down the toilet after winning five or six of it's first conference games then taking a skidding dump. I whole heartidly believe it is due to Huse being a terrible coach. You don't lose all your rematch games year in and year out without it just coming down to being out coached.

As long as Huse is the Coach of MSU mens basketball they will always be outcoached by the opposing coach. It's as simple as that!!

Actually, what's even more ironic, is that just a couple of weeks ago, people were saying how well these guys were playing together as a team, how hard they were playing every night, how they all seemed to be buying into Huse's system, how he was getting the absolute best out of his players, how the team really looked "different" from previous seasons, and they were certain that there'd be no February swoon this year. I would like to hear Colter or someone ask Huse directly about his teams' annual late season nosedives, and I'd be really curious to hear his excuse/explanation. I don't know that anyone in the media has ever actually called him out about this, and I think it's time that someone did just that.

And the women lost their 6th straight by 19 points, which means MSU's two BB teams lost by a combined 55 points last night. And it's not like either one of them lost to powerhouse teams. The men lost by 36 to last place ISU, and the women lost by 19 at home to a team that had approximately the same record as them. In reference to another thread, I would have to say that last night may have been the worst night in the history of MSU hoops.

Just last week, TomCat stated that he believed the MSU men had a legitimate chance to win the tourney. and even at that time I thought he must have been on crack for having said that. Now it's probably no more than 50-50 that we'll even get into the tourney, which is amazing for a team that was once 7-5 in conference, playing in a league in which 7 of 11 teams make the field.

ha. not surprising at all. some of us have been saying exactly how this season would play out back in december. we were told we were wrong. that this was a different team than what we saw in november. we you know what? we were right on the money. this is the same cat team we saw last year. and the year before. and the year before that. and the year before that....

this team i not very good. maybe not as bad as they were last night....but still not good. i said back then that i prayed this year would be different and i wouldn't be able to say "i told you so". but....i told you so.

ha. not surprising at all. some of us have been saying exactly how this season would play out back in december. we were told we were wrong. that this was a different team than what we saw in november. we you know what? we were right on the money. this is the same cat team we saw last year. and the year before. and the year before that. and the year before that....

Actually, we could have predicted how this season would play out (and some of us did) as soon as last season was over, and I'll predict next season's results right now (assuming that Huse is back for another year). It'll start with the program losing several players over the summer, and then...well we've all seen this movie seven times, so we're all pretty familiar with the plot line by now, and it's not one of those movies where they shoot several alternate endings.
